He was hyped, and now it seems to be overhyped.
But now he is way underrated. Pavlik (the current MW champ mind you) kicked his ass and that is what people remember.
He will have to prove himself again, but in 1-2 fights he very well could be back on top again and all of you will be demanding a rematch with Pavlik.

No, it is you people with the Pavlik avatars that hate. And that is 'cause you know the truth, your boy is too waiting to get exposed. :hi:

Miranda is not a fraud. His only losses have been to world champions, and he may eventually be able to avenge the loss to Abraham. He can make some noise at 168, and earn himself a couple big pay days. Beyond that I doubt he will ever be able to beat the best around.

someone speaking with a brain in here!!!. I don't think much of Miranda..He kinda reminds me of Cintron but less skilled. How can anyone not like to see Edison Miranda fight? Power punchers are good for the sport so why talk **** about the guy? I don't get it. He's out there to fight anyone not to run around like a little chump trying to milk out money. He didn't challenge a bunch of small 154lbers like Taylor did just to keep on winning, instead he took on Kelly Pavlik. And why question his weight situation? If you haven't noticed Miranda is built like a mother ****er and when he weighs in he is lean as all hell, so is it too far fetched to think that he will blow up about 50lbs after he fights? That would happen EASILY.

I'm sorry, Pantera is my favorite boxer right now and i've said this many a time but I can't see him beating Calzaghe unless a miracle happens and he gets lucky. Yes, not even 70% JC as he fought in the Kessler fight.

hahaha.... your a funny guy. Hey, enjoy it now. This is boxing and you are only as good as your last fight. Your boy will get exposed, most do, and Kelly will be one of them. Kelly was fighting tomato cans his entire career before Miranda. Two good wins and now you think his **** doesnt stink. Trust my friend, enjoy it now for the end will come, sooner than you think.

Ouch... still brings tears to my eyes.
But what a damn heart Miranda has. He was ****ed up and still fighting with whatever he had left. He is a warrior and that is why he has a huge fan base.

    Right.

This whole He's a fraud thing you hear so much about all these fighters who happen to lose a fight, its is getting utterly rediculous.

What exactly is the definition of a fraud, when it comes to a pro fighter who has lost one fight, like Taylor, for instance?

I guess when your forum is overrun by 12 year olds, you can expect this kind of childish nonsense, though.

Taylor is a bit different than Miranda, frankly - as his rise was propelled by some VERY questionable decisions. In that instance, imo, the fraud label is justified, because once he fought a legitimate MW, he lost. To me, that's virtually the DEFINITION of being "exposed" as a "fraud."

If Miranda is overhyped then what does that say about Pavlik since his big wins are Miranda and Taylor which alot of people say is overhyped too...... Just like i said Pavlik is nothing special and i pick Taylor to beat him in the rematch only if Taylor tightens up that defense though or someone tapes his left hand up.

Miranda is not a fraud. He is flawed yes, but not a fraud. Frauds do not beat eastman, Abraham(should have gotten the TKO) and Green.

    Edison Miranda ?
    Fraud ?
    Miranda comes to fight.
Miranda is trying to give what fans want -- action with a conclusive result.
Miranda does talk up a storm --- so do alot of other great fighters that are trying to promote themselves --- its business.
    Yes -- Miranda has weaknesses.
But he comes to fight and inorder to beat him his opponent better be prepared for war.
    Fraud ?
    I dont think so.
