What's the difference? You say he is over hyped. I say he is undervalued. Either way it is Edison Miranda himself that is causing the media to talk about him.

Nit picker. Your wrong on this, after getting out classed by Calzaghe, Kessler wont be given a Pavlik or a Winky, he has to make himself worth it. A good win over Miranda on HBO is the obvious next step to take. I think you are in denial.

 

He is in denial. So was I after Miranda lost to Pavlik. I never would have dreamed he would have been off HBO for two meaningless, buildup fights on ESPN. But he did his time and did it in fashion. Now HBO is ready for him to step up to the plate against a great fighter.

Kessler does not have to drop too much. He is staying on the major networks against a true top 10 fighter and is only one win away from being back on top.

 

Mogens Palle confirmes that former IBF challenger Edison Miranda is an option for Kessles next fight.

Team Palle has during the last months been in negotiations with HBO about a possible fight with Miranda. Mogens says: "For that reason alone, it is completely ridiculous to suggest that Kessler 'doesn't dare' fight Miranda. Kessler wouldnt mind fighting Miranda if the money is right, and if there were no 'hotter' candidates out there.

There is many options that is being twisted and turned at the moment.

It is a bull**** answer. The offer was on the table for a May/June fight and they blew it off. You just cant sit back forever and wait for something 'bigger'. It was a fair offer and gave them the exposure they wanted and they didnt take it.

The offer was much more than 20x what Miranda made to fight Banks. I can not give you a number for obvious reasons. All I can say is it was fair money HBO offered. No doubt way more than he would get fighting some bum in his hometown that will do nothing for his career.

 

Bute wants an easy fight. He would never fight Kessler or Miranda next. Maybe by next year he will have enough confidence and balls. I know you will agrue this, but it is a fact. Bute will face as easy as he can get anytime soon.

 

as i said before if the offer is $ 2 million for kessler i beleive he would accept.

if it is $500k kessler could get that for fighting david banks.

 

But again it is all about the promotionel work... Palle knows how to make fights happen, and he knows what the Kessler name is worth! We all know that he will be aiming for Taylor, RJJ, Winky and Lacy before closing negotiating with Miranda! So in the regard it is no big surprise to anyone that he hasen´t signed a deal with Miranda yet.

It has nothing to do with ducking a fighter, it is pure business!

For all it is worth, I actually think that Miranda most likely will be Kesslers next opponent. And a decent fight for both of them!
