Miranda is a nobody at 168 who brings little to the table for Kessler

Kessler v. Miranda would go a bit lik Haye v. Macca...everyone will give Miranda a puncher's chance, until BOOM...the right hand lands and Miranda does the chicken dance!

    Who's Miranda fighting?

I hope he fights some shot to pieces former good fighter like Rob Reid, I'd still easily pick Reid. Losing a decision to Reid at this point shows several things -

Miranda is nothing near a top fighter

The SMW division rules, MW is awful

Pantera2000 won't be making anymore stupid threads

That's 3 things Reid can give us.

Half of these goons would pick Miranda over Mundine, Miranda's actually somebody Mundine would fight at this point because he'd be so easy to destroy.

Miranda lost the first two rounds to David Banks!!!:rofl

Why does anybody think Miranda's even a top fighter, he's just a hard hitting entertaining TV level fighter and he's here in the same sentence with an elite fighter like Mikkel Kessler and the dumbasses still can't differentiate LEVEL.

Even Taylor busts Miranda up nasty, do you think I LIKE admitting THAT?:nut

****ing Pantera2000 is hilarious with his ****.:rofl

I don't give him a punchers chance, he couldn't KO Pavlik, how's he going to do it to a guy with a proven better chin than pavlik? He landed some nasty shots on Pavlik also.

Kessler would take Miranda out in 3-4 rounds if he comes with his normal high workrate.

    Actually, you know what.

I don't like Miranda at all anymore, his behaviour and his fan's behaviour is obnoxious and everyone knows I can't stand when someone is overrated and to think that he's even in the mix at SMW is overrating him.

For some of these ******ed ****** posters who thinks he has a shot in hell either Kessler, Mundine or Bute just about makes me want to explode in laughter.

I agree...I didn't give Macca a puncher's chance against Haye either...and Kessler has a MUCH better chin than Haye...

Miranda is a joke, calling out Kessler in those terms. No fighter on earth, no matter how good, would have the right to call Kessler out in those terms, least of all Miranda.

Miranda didn't KTFO Henry Porras, he landed X amount of fully wound up right hands and got an early stoppage. He's a PUNCHER, but where's this MURDEROUS power reputation like he's ****ing Rafael Marquez or David Haye in comparable P4P power at?

I guess KOing undersized little David Banks, after dropping 2 rounds to him, is enough to grant him that title.

Well guess what morons, putting Beyer out of commission in 3 is just a little more impressive than putting Banks out in 3.

Would Miranda even beat Beyer now? Doubt it...:yep

Miranda's going to get his ass handed to him really soon by a 2nd tier, non-top 10 SMW and his whole parade will be over, save for his spots on ESPN friday night fights where he'll produce nice KO's against crap opposition and then entertaining matches as a gate keeper.

He hasn't even come close to beating a shot Reid level fighter yet and they have him ranked.

HELL, he hasn't even beaten a Jesse Brinkley level fighter yet, the guy who a shot Reid beat in a pathetic display on Contender USA vs. UK program.

Journeyman Porras and lil' David Banks, both giving him problems, tell the entire story of Edison Miranda, the current MW division's lack of top talent and how dumb boxing fans can be to think Miranda is anything more than he is.

Miranda will TKO Kessler. Kessler's never faced such a hard puncher. I mean Kessler even admitted that Slappy Joe hurt him! What will he feel once Miranda gets him with a clean shot? Hell be on the floor!

People hate on Miranda cause they hate on Pavlik, people rate Kessler so highly cause they wanna amp up Calzaghe, you guys are so predictable! Thats ESB for you!

 Your hilarious, you know that? Miranda obviously wants to fight the top guys at 168, if he didnt he wouldnt be calling out Kessler, DUH! I think youre clearly nuthugging Slappy Joe cause you wanna built him up to be this warrior god that hes not. Miranda has fought nothing but top tier fighters for years at middle and has just now gotten to a point where he wants nothing but the same at SMW.

The only problems Porras and particularly Banks gave Miranda was the stress of making sure they were ok after he beat them to a pulp.

You say that there is a lack of talent at middle huh? Ok Well, Edison TKO Eastman (40-3) whose still never been stopped b4 and after Miranda, went to war with Abraham (22-0, IBF Champion) in a fight which i thought he won, KO'ed Gibbs (20-1), beat Allan Green (23-0), if youre keeping count thats a combined record of 105-4, in a span of a YEAR!!!! Before losing to current MW king Pavlik, while taking more punishment than Kessler can even dream of handing or taking to and from anyone.

If thats lack of competition then please tell what top tier competition is? And please tell me how the SMW all of a sudden is better than the MW division? Just cause they're bigger doesnt make them better. All of the MW contenders from the past couple of years to make it up to SMW and LHW have all done well, Miranda being one, Hopkins of course, Zuniga, Green, and soon to be Taylor. IMO it takes more skill to be fight at MW than SMW, so i dont get your logic.

All in all my point is that your basing your argument on the fact that you love Calslappy so much that you actually believe that Kessler will beat a man that has been very active with nothing but great competition for years. Just so you can say that Calzaghe has a great record and beat great fighters, which obviously is not the case, just look at his record for crying out loud, its a bunch of nobodies, in a division that no fighter really cares about.

Kessler doesnt want this fight cause he like me knows the outcome:
Miranda TKO. And honestly I dont see how Kessler would think this fight is a waste of time cause who else would he fight? Taylor wont fight him cause he can make more money else where. Bute wont have HBO behind behind him like Miranda does (and HBO would give the most to make this fight happen.) Calzaghe wont rematch, so this option is kindda of a no brainer. So why wont Kessler fight, well its obvious that when Miranda knocks him out, then its really over for Kessler, he wont even be seen on ESPN.

I like Pavlik a lot and have it in my top 15 p4p. But that doesn't mean I should rate Miranda high at 168, does it. I also rate Kessler high in my p4p list, but that doesn't mean I do it because I want to overrate Calzaghe on the back of that!

I look at your avatar and think...maybe I shouldn't take the Miranda TKO Kessler prediction that seriously...!;)

i like miranda, but the odds on KO'ing kessler are extremely slim. edison is what he is, a very limited puncher. kessler would be the overwhelming favorite against him due to his well roundedness, and being very effective at what he does. he'd get a early KO at the best, and a wide UD at the least.

but the thing i dont agree with is why the need to **** on miranda? barring his last 2 fights testing the SMW waters, the guy has at least attempted to fight some descent opponents. taking on eastman-abraham-green-pavlik in less than a year is quite respectable on any ones resume. he called kessler out and talked trash, but then again is'nt that how you try to get a payday? (especially if your as limited as miranda is). even a modest guy like vernon forrest has been doing it lately. the guy's just trying make a living.

the talk of kessler ducking miranda etc... is horse ****. thats not the case. the risk/reward nature of it, wont make it work.

You know what... Kessler might have to take this fight since it might be the only way to get on Showtime.

I don't think that Taylor is likely to take a fight against Kessler and risk a very probable 3rd consecutive loss.
Winky? Well he made it clear that he does not want to fight Kessler (correct me if I´m wrong this is based on secondary sources and not from the horses mouth so to speak).

I find it very likely that Kessler will meet Miranda. Personally I think the outcome of this fight will be quite predictable and it´s not the kind of fight I enjoy, but what the hell if it will get Kessler on the US radar again then so be it.
