Fair enough - will see it again, once the Marquez-Lorenzo fight is over(its a rerun).

Yes, yes, but Margo can eat it all - can Cotto?

    HELLO EL KAPITAN OBVIOUS!!!

Miranda got wobbled or dropped every time he stepped up.Eastman did it Green did it Pavlik of course and Abraham did it many times in the first fight.

I have said for the longest that Miranda cant take what he dishes out.

Cotto won't have to, as Margo will be offensively shutdown by Cotto's superior offensive and defensive prowess, as well as outjabbing and smothering Margo. Even if he had to eat some, Margo is an arm puncher mostly and not a 1 punch KO threat.

Surely he will eat some leather, unless Margo goes down to the first punch. Cotto is not Mayweather; he doesn't dance away from a brawl.

Arm puncher or not, he can still deliver a swarm of punches. Calzaghe arm punches alot as well.

I still hope mostly for a Cotto win, but foremostly a grand display of a fight, and I think it will be. If not, then you have just been right once again.

If Miranda would improve his defensive skills we wouldn't need to debate the merits of his whiskers.

Why not? If that was the case, he could no longer have the excuse of having a leaky defense(non-existant).

Yeah, and you were right. I really overestimated Pantera on a lot of levels. frankly - not the least of which was durability

And it is precisely my concerns about Cotto's chin that lead me to pick Margarito. That and the size difference.

On the other hand, if his whiskers are not as vulnerable as I imagine and he can stand up to Margarito's punches, then you could be right.

We'll see! If I'm wrong, I will happily admit it, as always.:yep

Abraham can seriously punch though so I'm not too sure about that one.

Both Pavlik and Abraham can punch very hard, so their stopping Miranda does not tell us that Miranda has no chin. A boxer can have a very good chin and still get knocked out.

Like I said before, Miranda at worst has an average chin. Overall he has great genetics for a fighter, its his skills that don't cut it at the elite level. In the Pavlik fight he took a good 20-30 punches before he collapsed, guys with a weak chin go out on the first flush punch. Plus, Abraham in their first fight landed a lot of hard punches which Miranda took fairly well....one well placed shot is worth 50 bad ones and Abraham was able to time the shot beautifully and get the job done. Its pretty tough to take this one away from him.

You are wrong, as usual with your boxing predictions. Frankly for someone who has followed the sport for 30 years you don't seem to be able to judge ability at all. All you care about and obsess about is chins. You would have been calling Ali shaky chinned when he was dropped by Sonny Banks in his 11th pro fight and a few fights on was badly hurt and floored by Henry Cooper.

You would have been all over that with you "Grade A china" crap and would have predicted Liston by death and blah blah...

I guarantee you picked Tua, Tyson and even Michael Grant over Lewis.

Anyway Cotto will dismantle Margarito and then you can make your next awful pick based entirely on your chin fetish.

We'll see. Lots of punchers have shaky chins, Farmy. It looks to me like Miranda might just be one of these guys. My bet is he goes on to loose by KO a few more times before all is said and done.:yep

Chin had little to do with Miranda getting his ass whipped yesterday.

Miranda wasn't landing anything clean, and Abraham was. Also Abraham was conserving his energy much better. Miranda could have had a Chuvalo chin and he still would have lost
