Not at all. He never said anything ANYTHING to disrespect Colombia. He feels his heart is with Puerto Rico and represents them as his own.

So for every 1 Colombian boxing fan (and there arent many) that he may have 'hurt' by saying this, he picked up 1000x hard core Puerto Rican fans.

Puerto Rico loves boxing and support their fighters huge. Probably as big as any other 'country'. They throw parades and pack the stadiums. When have you ever seen Colombia do anything big for their fighters or fill a stadium? Now for soccar, that's a different story.

Im not dissing Colombians. It is what it is. Most dont have much interest in the sport.

Well lets see Miranda was abandoned by his own mom,dad and family plus SOME Colombians are racist towards blacks more so than other South American countries.. I guess he does not feel respected by his Colombian people who knows...

WOW! You seem to know so much about Edison....1000 fans per Colombian?
While I agree Boxing is not a popular sport in Colombia, it is very popular in the coast of Colombia where Edison comes from, and there are many fans there. If you don't believe me I can mention names and check where they were born.....Alejandro Berrio, Ricardo Torres, Breidis Prescott, Fulgencio Zuniga...they are all from the coast (Barranquilla, Cartagena, etc)
Anyway, this is not a thread to question how many Colombian fans there are in Colombia...like I said before, if Edison feels better calling himself Puerto Rican then kudos to him and good luck.

I thought Miranda was from Buenaventura? If he is then i know Boxing IS NOT popular there. Its all in the coast around Barranquilla and Cartagena and maybe even Monteria.
