Miranda gets his ass kicked because the guys he fights are far more skilled and in general are just better than him, he can't make 154, and even if he could he'd never beat Martinez, Dzinzurek or any of the big WWs who move up, other than maybe Cintron and Angulo every one there beats him easily. Miranda just doesn't have it, his handlers waited too long to bring in a good trainer, Goosin should been brought in a very long time ago.
thanks for the input... i do agree with you... there is just a desparity between skill level there no matter what weight he tries to compete at... i was just merely stating that at the higher weights, he was just out manned by the bigger guys and it also didnt help that they were more talented... :good
If you look at Miranda's face at the end of rounds, in between rounds, & during the ref's count, you'll see he had a serious case of Victor Ortiz syndrome: This content is protected
I never thought skills, or lack there of, were Miranda's biggest problems. We tend to think that "brawler" is a derogatory term, but there is nothing wrong with being a "brawler" if you're good at it. It was a mistake on Goosen's part to try and turn Miranda into a boxer/puncher. It's usually better to take what a guy is already good at, and expand and improve that. Miranda's biggest problems are mental and emotional. Look at the first Abraham fight. Miranda had the fight in the bag. Then he got frustrated and threw a blatantly intentional head butt. That cost him 2 points, and gave AA a 5 minute break during which the doc worked on AA's jaw. Look at the Pavlik fight. He couldn't bully Pav, but Pav could bully him. Then KP took a couple flush bombs on the chin, and when he didn't blink, Miranda fell apart at the seams. The other night Miranda was doing better than I expected him to. Then he got clipped, and started in on the macho routine. History says Edison's biggest enemy lives between his ears.
