Miranda was ringside last night to watch Jean. Pascal looked VERY VERY unimpressive to me. To go 10 rounds with this joker was an embarrasment (score cards were a joke!). Now that I have seen Jean fight live, I say Miranda will KO him under 5 rounds.

Anyway, here is the poster for their Jan 11th fights on ESPN. This will be a great buildup to their HBO date in June.

I also thought he (Pascal) looked unimpressive by his standards. But I thought Miranda looked even more unimpressive against Pavlik, where he arguably lost every round and got KTFO.

Brian Norman to his credit came into the fight in absolutely phenominal shape and was actually throwing double and triple jabs, which had me surprised.

Pascal still takes Miranda to school, but maybe it goes the distance.

First of all, Jean Pascal took this fight only as a test for his shoulder and it looked clear to me that he didn't want to take risks so he can fight in January and impress ESPN.

Then, it is very hard to compare Norman to Miranda because those guys can't have more different styles.

    Finally, nice poster.

Miranda looked like **** against Pavlik, no doubt. But he looked great against Allan Green 12 weeks earlier. I have yet to see another Pascal fight, so maybe he was not himself. I am excited to see him again on the undercard of the above fight.

But to say he takes Miranda to school when he had so much trouble with Norman is a laugh. To me Norman won 3-4 rounds last night.

    You're extremely biased then.

8-2 Pascal on all cards, yet you go as far as giving him 4 rounds.

You are the biased on my friend if you go with the hometown judging. There were many close rounds and giving Norman 4 is not too difficult. He was the more active one through most of the fight keeping pascal on his bike. Yes, Pascal had his moments with some nice counters and combos (esp to the body), but Norman was never hurt. Pascal took his share of clean shots and was open for the jab all night. Luckly he was fighting a guy with zero power (only 4 KOs in 15 wins) otherwise the result may have been much different.

The jab barely touched Pascal at all, actually he missed or got countered over his jab more often than he landed it. If you think that I'm biased then go check the rd by rd thread and you will see that most people scored it like the judges. Just cause its hometown doesn't mean someone is getting robbed. Here, we actually give the rounds to the right person, no matter where they come from.

Actually i don't think i've heard of anyone giving Norman 4 rounds other than you.

I have to agree, Pascal looked seriously unimpressive. If he thinks he can perform like that and win against Miranda, he is going to get a rude awakening. We will see in January if he has learned anything from last night's experience.
