The Pavlik loss, to Miranda, was a fluke. He was ill and should not have been in the ring. He has given Kelly respect for the win, but in his mind he no doubt would beat him in a rematch. Right or wrong, that is how a champion should think. His confidence was not effected one bit from the Pavlik beating, so he is going to continue to talk with that confidence.

Does Miranda deserve to talk about anything? He's on HBOs shitlist right now.

HBO shitlist???? I hear they are already talking about having him back on the network after the Jan fight (possibly against Pascal).

****, Miranda did EVERYTHING HBO asked.
He filled the Dec B.A.D. event when Main Events could not fill the spot.
Than when Margarito couldnt fight in March on the Cotto undercard (Arum event), there was Miranda willing to fill the spot against the undefeated Green.
And finally with only a few weeks notice, HBO calls Miranda and asks him to take on Pavlik on the Dibella event since Lou had nobody good enough to make the show HBO Championship Boxing worthy (with the shitty main event).

So three times, on other promoter's cards, Edison Miranda steps up to bat and gives HBO exacly what they needed. He over did himself and took a beating from Pavlik. HBO still loves Miranda, and they will be happy to have him rebuild himself back on their network.

Yes, the hype did die that night in Memphis.
But most people believe Miranda was not himself, as it could be seen before he entered the ring. Most fans will give him another chance to prove himself, and I think he is on track.

Obviously HBO still has interest, they want him back on the network.

I pretty much agree. But he is very well known in Canada. Good record, but hasn't beaten anyone. I have only seen his last fight and he looked very unimpressive. I think he will be somewhat tested on ESPN, Jan 11th so we will get a better idea.

If Pascal performs well, it will be an easy fight. He has the talent to face anybody in the division. His last fight leaves us with the question about his motivation.
