    That is the plan. HBO has shown interest (as did Showtime) so it looks like if all goes as planed they will meet June 7th in Montreal.

    Yes, that name has been hanging around for sometime, but also they are talking to some of the 'Contenders' from this past season. I see what you are saying, no, not a big test, but at least as good if not better than anyone else he has faced.

    OK... It looks like Miranda will be fighting McCrary and Pascal will be fighting Banks on the Jan 11th ESPN card.

    Pascal is a bullshitter... he's a local boxer acting Hollywood.

    He can't throw a straight shot, has 0 defense. He's fast but telegraphs his shots, so he has a hard time scoring KOs against determined opposition. He lacks precision with his punches and loops his punches too much. His best punch is his left check hook, he should use it more and less predictably, but since he telegraphs it, its pretty much ineffective.

    So far he was able to beat his opponent on sheer physical strength. Against his last opponent, he did not have this advantage and nearly got KOd in the 6th, and that's by a fighter with only 4 Kos in 15 wins (with 5 losses).

    Against Miranda he'll get knocked the **** out.

    hmmm...good for name recognition with casual fans in the US but I cannot feel disappointed...on the other hand, Pascal, and to a lesser extent, Miranda, is keeping very busy making a name for himself...however, I feel they would both be better off concentrating on hard meaningful fights, rather than wearing their name out...

    ESPN turned down some 'better' opponents, but they liked the 'Contender' names, so that is what they went for.

    It will be a good night for boxing and hopefully get the more casual fan watching the fight (knowing the 'Contender' names).

    Disappointing but not surprising...however, if they get on the game, they will have to keep taking fights that will make them look good, and that's not going to help them progress in boxing terms...

    For Miranda and Pascal it is a good setup for a June battle between them. It will get good exposure and they should both shine.

    The fight between them will be for some type of elimination I would think. The money will be too good for the santioning bodies to ignore. So by the end of the year, one of these 2 may be fighting for a title.
