I've done some amateur boxing and what's your point exactly?
A true professional doesn't come up with "Weight drained" excuses, if he was weight drained then why continue at the weight and run into Pavlik?, to save up the excuse till he's stretched on the canvas as he was?
If he's weight drained then he'll move and not waste time, isn't that what Cotto did and many others before him?, fact is he never claimed he was weight drained for Abraham, only thing he claimed is that he demands a rematch and kept talking trash. Those weight drained excuses came after Pavlik sliced him to pieces, only then he moved up. Fact is, a true professional doesn't do such junk.

Actually, let me remind you the problems Cotto had making weight and coming weight drained into bouts because he wanted to stay... one more fight at that weight. Professionnal fighters do this kind of junk.

As for Miranda, he underestimated his two adversaries. Many boxers do the same. Look at Malignaggi against Ngoudgo. Not saying Ngoudgo wouldn't have done as good against Malignaggi is Magic man had trained better, but he obviously underestimated him.

    So;
1-Fighters do this kind of junk all the time (Weight draining for fights) and they don't do it the right way all the time. I have many examples for you. And weight drainage is harder on your body then you might think. You don't have strength, stamina, power, speed... all this because the fighters think they have the advantage of size over their opponents.
2- It happens that fighters don't prepare for fights properly.
3-The judge was biased. And if you want to argue with me on that... just rewatch Williams vs Airich.:rasta

Well, let's put it this way: he's got a better chance knocking out AA this weekend at the airport than is 3 weeks time in the ring...:deal

Scar, I don't really recall seing you this bitter towards any certain fighter before. Does this disdain stem from the Kessler situation?

    Only wondering, no reason.

Miranda isn't very good. People act like he's top level for some bizarre reason, when all he ever did was get his ass kicked by two B+ levels and release dumb ass press releases. He should quit boxing and start up his own business releasing those comical trash talking articles for decent pro fighters who would like to hire his services

All Abraham has to do is take less time outs, and he'll win easily, his inactivity is the only thing that remotely keeps Miranda in the race

TFFP, why do you say Miranda isn't very good? Everytime i've seen him, he seemed ok to me. I'm no trainer though...

I havn't seen anything that justifies the level people talk of him at. He's just sloppy all-round. His offence consists of a right-hand, powerful as it is, there is no versatility there hence he loses rounds to journeymen like Porras. He can't fight off the backfoot at all. When he's backed up he doesn't get any leverage as we saw against Pavlik. We don't even need to think about his defence, its not there, and his chin is only decent. He has absolutely no inside game whatsoever

He's basically a mid-range slugger with a powerful right hand. That is the extent of it. A gatekeeper and a chin checker for upcoming prospects at SMW. Bika and Andrade would beat him, nevermind the top SMW's

I only feel the need to be so scatching because people talk about him so favourably, otherwise I'd simply be netural towards him as I have with dozens of other fringe contenders. I've no idea why he's highly rated other than he's on Pavlik's resume, Pavlik has obviously fought 30 ATG's

Calzombies have to make the Kessler "situation" seem justifiable.

Ok, fair enough... tell me, is Abraham a good fighter?

He has potential, if he fights more actively, because unlike Miranda he actually has okay skills. He's just a little bit ponderous with his footwork, and bad at cutting the ring off

I can't expect him to do anything with B+ fighters, nevermind elites while he takes time outs so much. I think fighting at SMW might help him, he shouldn't be so drained

I think he's good, but not close to elite until he shows me he can work 2:30 a round. I can't say he's amazing when Miranda gave him a close fight, and those are the main reasons for it I feel.

Ok, we agree on this. He has VERY poor stamina. He can box, has very good power (Probably as much as miranda) but he throws a little wide. He can fight on the back foot though has limited power when throwing from the back foot. He's not very quick though the speed is okay.

So why would it be so lopsided a fight against Miranda? Miranda has tremenduous stamina. I don't think Abraham can follow, especially if he trains in strength to try to put Miranda away.

It won't be lopsided if Abraham again has a fuel tank the size of a 1.1 Ford Fiesta, I'm kinda counting on Abraham improving on that at 168

It also has to be said, Abraham stylistically is the best it will ever get for Miranda. He's not very quick, he always stands in range with a peek-a-boo defence, so Miranda can just tee off on him while he's inactive and either outwork him, or just bust him up

If Abraham does have the stamina, it will be easy work. He'll be able to outbox him completely, and put together sustained attacks. The stoppage will come.

Yeah but using the turtle shell still had his jaw broken. And this time, the fight will be stopped if it happens.
