Now that Mirandas pulling power has been destroyed somewhat by AA, do you guys like this fight? You would have to think it would be an absolute war, these two guys know how to slug. Seems like a great way for Miranda to get back on the wagon after a few huge losses, with Bika's name at least registering in the US because of the contender. At the same time it is a great opportunity for Bika to increase his fame in the US. How do you guys see this one going? And would you like to see it?
Bika's really strong - this would be a dangerous, ill-advised fight for Miranda, considering his defense problem. I would choose Bika with caution.
I take Miranda, not sure whether points or KO but leaning towards points because Bika's chin is not bad. I know Miranda's no elite but skill-wise he looks polished compared to Sakio. Also, I get the feeling Sakio's on the downslope of his career a bit, he's certainly not as fresh as he was once. Good fight though, I'd like to see it.
I actually think Sakio looks more polished than Miranda. Their close, though, skill wise. But I think if this fight happens in light of what transpired with Abraham, Miranda would be in trouble. His psyche has to hurt, the way it ended in front of his home crowd.
I'd rather see Miranda-Berrio, a pick'em Colombian battle of power and chins.. not sure if they would fight eachother though.
I can see your point, but Sakio's pretty primitive. Having re-watched Bika-Codrington a few times, I think Miranda would have had a much easier time with Codrington. Style-wise, Bika just swings too wide for my liking. Anyone who can match him for power could hurt him with straighter punches. Sakio's inactivity worries me too. I can't help but think that something is not right, otherwise he'd be in top shape and fighting to cash in on his new-found reputation. He looked flat to me in the only fight he's had since the Contender. There was a thread a while ago in which this was mentioned and I was pretty confident about tipping Miranda. Post-AA, at least, I'm less certain about it.
Just like what I said about Michael Katsidis, Miranda needs to take some time off, FIRE the nutritionist, and get back to his roots, do LOTS of sparring (his defense is going to need big time improvement now that the chin has been cracked). If he could work his way back with a couple of victories over easier, lighter-hitting opponents, his psyche would be better, and maybe we could see him become a player again.
This is a great fight and close to be 50-50. I'm saying this for months. Bika is very awkward but pretty effective giving you troubles with his unpredictability... Of course he's more like a volume puncher while Miranda is a one-punch KO artist... WAR! I'd definitely like to see it.
I take Miranda by KO. Bika's defense isn't good enough to avoid Miranda's big shots. And I don't think that Miranda's chin is that bad. In any case, it would be dirty. Maybe one guy would get disqualified?
And Miranda's defense is good enough to avoid Bika's powershots? I'm going with Bika here because we've already seen him triumph under extreme adversity which is more than I can say for Miranda. At least Bika knows how to survive when hurt. And yes, Miranda's chin is that bad. BIKA BY KO
