I never saw that fight, but I did hear that Ben Rabah should've earned the decision. Well, that's one.
I agree that was a bull**** decision. But other than that, Warriors/Florida has been very fair. Hell, they had Ibrogimov fighting Austin at a draw. That would have been easy to give to Ibrogimov and could have had a huge difference to his future. Seems as fair as any other 'home field' advantage. Not like Germany where the promoter is more powerful than the ref in the ring!
An earlier post of yours got me wondering. I assumed Miranda's folks had made 'first contact' because they were so busy trying to land him a fight. Now I wonder if Abraham's folks saw this as a way to get a big fight in the US and proposed it? Just curious.
Well and truly spoken, big guy! Props to both Abraham and Miranda! I am looking forward to their encounter. Will be one of my personal highlights in 2008 alongside with Joe vs Hopkins and Povetkin vs Wlad.
I somehow tend to agree with your bold statement. My gut feeling keeps telling me that a healthy Abraham would have take out Miranda in their first encounter. Miranda's firepower is overrated, and his crude skills and his style are tailor made for the Armenian banger. Miranda couldnt stop an severely injured Abraham. What would Abraham have done to Miranda if he had been the one chasing an severely injured Miranda? Have a look : www.youtube.com/watch?v=VavuGDQM_DQ
Odo and Pantera2000 are made for each other - though, the lil panther isn't that narrow-minded anymore. But still both of you could talk to another without even giving credit once to one another. involuntarily comical...
Nah! I respect Pantera! He supports his boy fanatically.I just like to point out that he isnt the invincible hero he thinks Miranda is. Narrow minded? I guess you consider yourself to be the embodiment of a wise guru,eh! Hail you, great German liberal thinker among us simple mortals!
When I wrote narrow-minded, I mean that you are always seeing the positive sides on your favourite in this match up and never (to about 99%) giving credit to the other fighter.
I dont want to blow my own trumpet, but I think that I have the ability to see both sides of the fence-at least at times. But..............as much as I am aware of Abraham's weak spots I cant really see a healthy version of Abraham lose to a crude roughouse like Miranda. As I see it Miranda and his firepower is overrated.I am sure that our fellow poster pantera totally disagrees with me.I dont mind it. He is entitled to his opionion. Anyway! My goal is not to be the most objective poster here on esb.I am a human being with flaws, and not a soulless robot. I for sure root for my favourite fighters.
Actually when Kessler pulled away the first time, it was Sauerland's people that called and proposed the fight. They want Abraham to get USA exposure, but other then Pavlik, there is nobody Abraham could fight that would make a worthy fight for HBO/SHO. Fighting Miranda gets him the date, and even better, if he loses he keeps the belts! I see it as a great opportunity for Abraham, with not too much downfall if he loses.
Nahhh, I am not narrow-minded. I know the only reason Miranda lost to Pavlik was 100% due to his weight. At 168lbs Miranda is healthy and will KO in one round anyone who can make this weight. He will never be hit clean again from his superior defense and lighting quick reflexes. Right now I am shocked he is not p4p #1 on everyone's list. He is the greatest ever. He has a face of a model and smarter than Warren Buffet. Praise thee to Miranda! :good
