It is far from a signed deal, but all parties have agreed on the important issues.... Oh, and by the way, it is NOT HBO, it is on Showtime (I know quite a bit Pharaoh, just cant leak it until the time is right!)
I just read a statement from Miranda saying Kessler's "no fighter" and now he's calling out Winky Wright :huh
I never lie! I may have opinions you do not agree with, but never lie. Truth is, talks started about this fight and Kessler priced himself out. Networks were raising the stakes to try to make everyone happy. They got close, Kessler wanted no part of it... After a few call outs and press releases (and I am sure the tons of enthusiasm from all the fans on this website) his team came back to the table. I tell you what... people are very much interested in this fight. I have rarely seen a topic like this go on and on and on for pages. Kessler is a great fighter with a lot of fans and deserved hype. Miranda has a ton of hype, controversally deserved, and tons of fans. It is going to be a great fight with the whole boxing world watching. Win for everyone!
Good fight for Kessler. He's a bigger version of Pavlik (straight up fighter, disciplined in his jab/jab/straight right) and if he follows Pavlik's plan to back MIranda up, he should have no problem. Terrible move for Miranda. I'll bet the house on Kessler if it happens... and his team would be foolish to turn down an HBO date for such a winnable fight.
Yup . . . am I hearing words that you'll gonna disappear again after your boii gets starched again? :think :blood
The only thing is that he's probably 3x as good as Pavlik is, so Miranda gets stopped quicker and Kessler recieves nothing in return.:yep
He gets some recognition on the other side of the big pond. He gets better known. Besides, he might carry the panther for a few extra rounds like Roy did Tito. That way, he would avoid scaring off such potential competition as Taylor, pavlik and Wright.
