Just imagine what prime Roy Jones would have done to Miranda. That is what Pascal will try to do, and I believe he will be successful. Miranda has too many holes in his style and seems to have no interest in plugging them. Like many punchers he has fallen in love with his firepower and has failed to understand the need for good boxing skills. I think he is going to continue repeating his mistakes then finding cheap excuses when things don't work out.
Hmm i looked him up on youtube and he looks just as "crude" as Miranda. Next Roy Jones ?? HA! That's really laughable I just don't see it. Check it out for yourselves. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBiLq0eBohQ&feature=related
Yea and I saw the Ikeke fight and was not impressed. One hard punch on the chin and he will be running like Allan Green.
i watched pascal, he looks like he will come to fight... i think one way or the other this fight will end in a KO and that's what I love about miranda, he will take dangerous fights without fear... But I think Pascal will find out that Miranda is not as sloppy as he looks when he steps in the ring with him, Miranda has a lot of experience now with talented fighters and if Pascal comes into the fight thinking he will easily box him to a decision he could possibly end up knocked out, or on the wrong side of a decision when he starts to get hit and has to run and cover up...
Pascal is still on the learning curve, and I think he will improve as time goes on. Ikeke is not an easy opponent and Miranda would have a problem with him. Pascal has chosen Miranda for a good reason, it is a good style match for him and Miranda has a high profile. Miranda has nothing to gain by fighting Pascal and a lot to lose.
HBO likes the fight and is willing to pay big money. Plus the gate will be huge that weekend in Montreal. I wouldn't be surprised if Miranda would make close to $750,000 - $1,000,000 for the fight. So it is very good money for a nontitle fight and it will most likely be for some type of eliminator. When the money is big, the sanctioning bodies want a piece! So, there actually is much to gain. Plus he will most likely be a decent favorite.
You scored him ahead of Pavlik even though he was getting his ass beat? Pavlik definitely won 4 of the first 5 rounds.
So Pantera, after 6 month of hiding in humiliation youve decided to show your face at ESB again. It was the funniest thing how you disappeared from the forum after Miranda got his ass handed to him by Pavlik. I can't blame you though, with all the nuthugging you did, most people would have done the same. But it looks like you still havent learned your lesson. Next time Miranda gets KO'd, at least have the ballz to stay around and face the music, punk.
Not my scores, all three judges had Miranda ahead.... :yikes <--- Me during rounds 6 and 7 of the May fight :tired <--- Miranda after the fight :| <--- Me for a few months after Pavlik kicked his ass :bolt <--- Me from boxing websites while I was :| But time heals all wounds. I am still a very big fan of Pantera and wish him the best. Everyone loses sometime, I just didn't think Pavlik was the man to do it. Yes, I am back, learned a hard lesson and won't bail again. I am stronger!!!! Punk?
Ive seen Pascal. And someone said it right that said Pascal is just as crude as Miranda. The fight will depend on who is able to take the most punishment. I have no idea if Pascal will be able to take a beating. But Miranda showed his heart in the Pavlik fight.
