Last I heard he still did not have an opponent for Dec 7th. I am sure that will be a bum, but on Jan 11th it will be someone decent (Echols was being talked about, but doesnt look like it ever developed)
There are no good fights available right so he needs to stay busy and fight someone with a decent name/record for ESPN and get good exposure. After that he will most likely be facing Pascal. Miranda is the last person you want to give crap to for taking an 'easy' fight. This guy has proven he will fight anyone, anywhere. After this fight he is headed to Pascal's backyard...
Pascal just looks like a better fighter than Miranda, and looks to have the stronger whiskers also...Pascal UD
Like someone already wrote, Jean was a full time student up to 6 months ago... Plus, he is a 7 times canadian champ. Joined the National team in 2001, at 18, and thus, fought in many international competition. He won gold at the 2002 Comonwealth games in Manchester, England, participated in the 2004 Olympics in Athens and ended his amateur career with about 120 fights. So, in terms of boxing, Pascal as more experience then you might think.
Pascal will be fighting Emiliano Cayetano (16-1) on dec.7th. http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=75775&cat=boxer
Yes I have heard of his amature experience. But many people have had that type of experience. When you get to the big leagues the stepping up is sometimes a very big step. I cant wait to see his next two fights to get a better idea of how good he is though.
I read a quote somewhere saying he would end up to 175 before his career was over. He should stay at 168 as long as possible, 175 is not a wise career move. Then again there are guys at 168 who will destroy him to.
