http://netboxe.com/rep1/quebec.php I know, it's in French. What it basically says is that Miranda may not be able to make 168, and asked for the fight to happen @ LHW. St-Juste, who wants a shot at Stieglitz' belt, wishes to remain at SMW for ranking sake. He's been promised a #2 ranking if he were to beat Miranda (re: JL Legendre's blog), and they're already looking at who could fit the bill in a fight that would warrant such reward (#2). Or St-Juste fights Ornelas regardless of the outcome ranking wise, wtf knows. So yeah, that's a potential blow to the March 19th Interbox card @ Bell Centre. If he doesn't fight Miranda and if Ornelas and/or WBO declines St-Juste vs Ornelas, who would you throw in there with him? Mendy. Mendy in Montréal. And Bute gets rid of his IBF mando. Bienvenue chez nous, cousin. :hey
Seriously though, this was gonna be a decent slugfest. Can't be a bad one with Ornelas either if it happens. Sturm fan? Sturm won't entertain fighting sluggers. And St-Juste's resume walks all over (Big Ron) Hearns'... BTW I'm not saying Renan would have a chance vs Sturm. He would against Stieglitz though.
If St-Juste faces a decent fighter in March, how about him and DeGale meet in an eliminator next summer?
Probably. Stieglitz probably outworks him too. But Renan has an old man's strength puncher's chance in both fights IMO. He says he feels his hands are quick too. War Renan :thumbsup J'ai de la famille à Repentigny pis j'arrête toujours là en m'en allant à 3-Ri. C'est 'do or die' pour les 2 prochains combats de Renan, la retraite approche.
It was recommended to Miranda from some nutritional experts that his body is not capable of getting to 168lbs without burning too much muscle. I saw him recently at 192lbs and he looked ripped. I have no idea how he ever made 160lbs. Although he may feel stronger and healthier and the heavier weights, I dont think his chin can take the added power these heavier figheters can throw....
