IMO this would be a great matchup. Could Pantera get through Winkys touted guard, can Winky jab Edison to death like he did Shane and Tito??? Thoughts?
Right now, I don't know who would come out victorious, but if it was the same Winky Wright we're used to seeing, then I see Wright being able to win by a pretty wide margin. I don't think Miranda would be able to get through Wright's defense as much as he would like to.
Well, it would have to be fought at a catchweight, since Miranda isnt making 160 anymore. Miranda has the edge in power, obviously. He is much stronger physically and is the bigger man. His advantages all end there. Wright is a far better boxer, he has his excellent jab, and is a superb counterpucher. His handspeed is equal is not beter, he has better footwork, ring generalship, defense, head movement, better strategist, and more punch variety. Even though he has no power, his jab would be cracking Miranda in the face every round. I see Miranda throwing his usual round house punches and just getting countered and outboxed the whole night. There is always the idea that he has the power to break Wrights defense and outmuscle him, but that has never worked, by any fighter who has ever tried it. Wright by UD 118-112
Winky has fought far better fighters than Miranda. Miranda is no way going to break his guard. That is just oversimplification. Miranda isnt just going to throw a power punch and suddenly Winky drops his hands. When was the last time anyone saw Wright actually hurt from a punch? The guy has an iron chin
