Dude HBO pays the big bucks for any fighter. Ask any fighter who they would like a contract with and they will tell you HBO right away. they pay millions upon millions. And right now, considering that Edison 'lost' to arthur and also 'lost' to pavlik but is still making more money and high profile fights on HBO rather than Arthur, I would say your argument is pretty weak. Lets see arthur lose to pavlik and come back to HBO, oh wait a minute, He never actually made it to HBO yet to get worldwide recognition and BIG dollars. Do you even have any proof he makes more than Miranda or are you just speculating? I guess sticking around fighting the powderpuffs that sauderland puts in front of him will suffice for him. Imagine the dollars he would get if he actually took chances.

Miranda made MUCH more in 2007 than Abraham did and if they both keep winning Miranda will make a **** load more again in 2008.

Miranda never has made millions of dollars though because he is no draw, nor is he a top guy. Hell even when Pavlik fought Taylor for the MW championship of the world he just made slightly over a million (1.3 million). You have to establish yourself and become a big draw to make the big bucks on HBO. There is no argument between us. Abraham is popular as hell in Germany and gets paid very well to fight over there. He don't need HBO. Even if he came on HBO and fought he wouldn't be a huge draw so there's really no point. He is more well know,paid well and liked where he is at.

 

yeah a guy whose last 5 opponents have a combined record of 96-1, one of whom is the current MW champ is protectedatsch.

 

I'm glad this fight is building up. Miranda is a guy who gives it his all in every fight, has a proven chin, and real power, but limited skills. To me, Pascal doesn't have the drive and mental attitude it takes to be very good at the top level. He has better technical skills and natural boxing talent than Miranda, but his chin and power isn't proven yet. Fighters like Pascal **** me off, because they have show-off personalities in the ring, but they don't try to dominate their opponents and give their best possible performances. I think there's a pretty good chance Miranda takes him deep and stops him late or wins a pretty close decision if they meet.

I just hope pascal fights like he is not trying to dominate edison. That is mirandas game all day. when miranda is moving forward the other guy is in trouble. It takes someone like Kelly who does try and dominate to beat edison.

Yea, he took a big step back after Pavlik. But as long as HBO loves him because people want to watch him fight, the money will be coming again soon.

Abraham makes **** for money for being a champ. He got paid less than $250,000 to fight Miranda and that was the biggest fight in his career! He has only fought twice since.
