I watched the whole fight this time and I thought the referee was unprofessional and weak. I thought it was a disgrace what happened. The referee himself said that the fight should have been called a TKO for Miranda. So why did he ask what to do and why did he let the fight continue when Abraham didn't really want to go on? It took his trainer, the great Ulli Wegner, to convince him to carry on! ...and then...all those points taken off for low blows...:-( I am very glad that Abraham has decided to take this fight, especially in the USA and especially at a weight that suits Miranda. It shows great character. He himself knew he should have been pulled out that night; it's only right that he should give Miranda a rematch. In my view, technically, Miranda won the first fight. However, he couldn't finish him, despite the broken jaw. Of course, officially, Miranda lost. The belt won't be on the line for the rematch, but the winner of this fight, as long as he deserves to win, will be the one I personally, will rate more highly at 160 lbs as well. I hope to see more skill and less wild swinging in the rematch, though. Either that or a KO!
A lot on the line here for Abraham - he has to remove the only blemish on his record and look good in his first bout in the US. If he don't beat Miranda convincingly the road to the big money fights like against Pavlik is blocked. There's no question that Arthur is physically ready, even at the catchweight, but he has to be mentally prepared and confident in order to destroy Miranda. He may be now, but when he remembers these punches in the ring he might become too hesitant and lets Miranda take the initiative. On the other side, knowing that Miranda couldn't finish him for 8 rounds when he was badly hurt might just give him the confidence he needs to beat Miranda. Abraham still has weaknesses like leaving himself too open after throwing a punch or fighting in spurts, but he's much more skilled than Miranda nevertheless. So I'll say Abraham wins by TKO late rds.
heard some? Maybe try heard everyone except some delusional abraham nuthuggers on here. remeber who HBO gave the shot too after their first fight.
For example, he got paid $1.5 million for his fight vs. Elcock - Miranda didn't make this money in total for his fights after his "loss" to Abraham (I set it in brackets b/c of the controversy)...
Is it just me or is Miranda annoyingly mouthy? He always seems to have some un-classy **** to say. Abraham will knock his ass out by the way.
Tom, where are you getting these numbers from (Abraham's)? From what I heard he made no where close to what you claim in any one single fight since Miranda. Plus, are you talking numbers AFTER Sauerland rapes him? I know what his contract is, and I see no way he could ever make that in Germany on public TV after Wilfred takes what is his.
