Arum wants the Abraham fight. Miranda is 168, and no reason for Pavlik to move up at this point.

Actually, it was an exchange in another thread about Abraham that inspired my avatar. P2K said it was Saurland that initiated contact for this fight. Lots of us had to rethink our opinion of AA, but we did give him FULL credit. We thought he would do a Sturm and live happily ever after with his belt in Germany. AA even offered Sturm a ton of money for a shot at his belt? And why? He wants Pavlik's belts. I think he feels a victory over Miranda sets the fight up. And I am sure he is right.

So, how can we not respect AA? :?

The referee was clear on the point that the head butt hit high, not on the jaw. AA's corner tried to get the fight called on that point, but lost. Watch it. No way the head butt broke the jaw. Period.

It was caused by a punch, but it's not very nice to headbutt a broken jaw. :-(

I can't wait for this fight although it might turn out to be a stinker.
I guess that Abraham will win a close decision but the odds are crazy (3.5 or 250% for a Miranda win).

Well, it is a fight. ;) Seriously, I don't know if Miranda knew the jaw was broken at that point. The ref clearly stated the head butt happened higher though. Not the jaw.

Well, you stand to make some good money then. :hey I just hope it is a good fight decided in the ring. I don't know if AA can eek out a decision unless he changes his style though. He just doesn't throw enough for American judges. I think they are feeling pressure from MMA and realize people don't want to see the likes of Bhop. Hell, I would have given Calzaghe the win just to send a message to other fighters that people don't want to see that crap. :deal

After seeing AA's last fight, I favor Miranda in this one. He won't be able to work 30 seconds a round and win. I look for more of the same, especially with Miranda. 2:30 of covering up :30 trying to impress the crowd and judges at the end of the round for the 'steal'.

I just watched this on YouTube. It's difficult to tell who will win the rematch, though. It seemed AA was by far the better boxer and may have been a lot better later without his broken jaw. But who knows? :think
