Miranda's chin is somewhere between Tex Cobb's and Amir Khan's.

His chin is bad and shaky... dude has been KOed brutally by AA and Pavlik. He was dropped easily by Green with a single left hook, and he was stumbling around like drunk after again just a single counter right hand by a shop worn Howard Eastman.

 

Oh come on JR! You better than that my man! Green caught Miranda WAY off balance as he was leaning back (at damn near a 45' angle) and Miranda bounced right back up and put a whoopin' on Green.

Pavlik and AA are known to be hard hitting as hell, and it took each of them a lot of shots to get the ref to wave it off.

Plus it took AA 1 1/2 fights to TKO him. AND that **** was at a catch weight, so Miranda did still have to boil that **** down. :tong

 

NO! You rate his chin way, waaayyyy too highly. I knew his chin was crap the moment Eastman's old ass had him on ***** street with that flush right hand... and don't be makinge excuses for Green's left hook. Miranda wasn't that off balance and the punch still put Edison clean on his ass.. and that was the only moment Green even attempted to come forward with some offense in that fight and look how easy it was for him to deck Miranda.

His chin is weak. Not glass, but damn shaky. :deal

Oh, and how did that Eastman fight turn out? I can't remember? Wasn't it something like Miranda being the ONLY fighter ever to stop Eastman? At that point?

It seems to be the general concesus on ESB that Miranda is a glorified club fighter with no skills but can hit with his right like a mule....no?

NOW, how in the HELL could such a limited fighter, with NO SKILLS (according to ESB experts) get to such a high level of success, if he didn't have a pretty got dayum good chin???? do you rate the man's defense highly?..NO. Is he slick and avoids punches like some souped up PBF, NO. Can he take some thunder in order to get in his own BOMBS, YES!

Speaking seriously for a moment, I think a lot of fans have a tendency to overrate fighters and their abilities to take a punch. A fighter may go down multiple times and get KOed just as often and fans will still say the man has a "GREAT" chin. :roll: Be more realistic guys.

As far as the Eastman fight goes, yeah Miranda KOed Eastman's old and shop worn self, not that big of an accomplishment IMO, but Edison was also badly hurt by a counter right from Howard at the end of one of the rounds. If he had more time in that round there's a very real possibilty that Miranda would have been the one KOed in that fight... and if Green had decided to come after Miranda after that 8th round knockdown, there's also a big chance he would have finished him as well. That's how little I think of Miranda's chin.

Don't be mad at me, I'm just calling a duck a duck.

 

And I don't rank chins in numbers... that's just weird and way too spread out a ranking system.

Miranda doesn't have a shaky chin, his defence is ****.

If you let guys like Pavlik or Abraham tee off on you, unless your chin is granite, you're getting KTFO. Watching the Pavlik fight it's amazing Miranda lasted as long as he did. That was a brutal beating.

Guys with shaky chins get KO'd by weak punchers and are finished easily. Miranda kept getting up and absorbing more punishment against Abraham, Pavlik, and even Green. No MW or SMW with a shaky chin and **** defense could do that.

 

Ok, good post (*sigh* I guess), so we are friends again, BUT on probation...:blood.
