"I have a message for Kongo. Listen, I though that you are a sportsman, a professional like everyone else in this sport. You were lucky enough to fight against me during the deepest crisis of my career. You probably ate a lot of vegetables and potatoes to look like that? I'll be back in the cage and I hope you will be in the opposite corner. Then we'll see for how long you'll be able to talk."

I'd tune in to see a focused CC vs Kongo.

I believe that Mirko was completely focused against Konga the first time that they fought. I just don't think that Cro-Cop can fight well when being pushed... the cat is out of the bag.

nah , Barnett sure pushed that guy like hell...even alexander did.
and so did Hunt... he was also "pushed" in his kickboxing career against BETTER competition and it's not like it would always fail for him...

    it's something else...
Kongo aint even good , he's not garbage either but prime for prime he's a nobody compared to crocop. He's known for being slow and very vulnerable on the ground. And of course , known for getting tkoed by Yvel too..

It's just that mirko is not the same anymore..it doesn't matter that he's focused or not... I remember hearing tyson saying that he was resurected , that he was "back" etc...prior to his fight vs McBride and we all know what happened..

Crocop was already looking different in his fight against Sanchez..

I don't buy it. Mirko looked better than ever directly before he entered the UFC. To suddenly pretend that he was shot, just because he got manhandled is nothing more than making excuses. I always loved watching Mirko fight, and talked him up bigtime to my friends who hadn't seen much of Pride.... what a let down. Had nothing to do with being shot, or not focused.

It has everything to do with not being focused. His same nonchalant attitude was why he got KO`ed vs Randleman in there first bout. CC was in Fedors shadow for sometime and wanted to be seen as the best fighter in MMA. When the OWGP came round that was the most focused stone cold CC i have ever seen. His intensity was completely out of character but it was deadly and thats why both Barnett and Wandy were stopped. In the UFC he had the same attitude vs Kongo Gonzaga and Sanchez.I believe he thought UFC was the lower leagues and simply never made the adjustments nor got comfortable in that organisation after spending so many years in PRIDE.

and to think that the very same guy even used to dominate a wrestler such as barnett at one point in his career...
