One round and Big bob goes down...Career finished. Man it was very apparent from the get go that bob's best days are well behind him..He shouldnt of even been allowed to fight in the first place. Lepai threw good combos and done his job.Proceeded to call out Danny Green which $urpri$ed me... Just stick to testing yourself against the actual men in your division Alex and leave people like Green alone to make a mockery of themselves. Though if the fight were to happen Danny would win..Remember he punches like a heavyweight and no1 can handle his power..DANNY SAID SO..
nice work alex. bull**** danny green has been the one calling out heavy weights lets see if he can back it up!
I don't think Danny will ever fight @ Heavyweight hopefully he has more sense than that , i would love to see him in with a few LIVE European Cruisers though just to gauge how much he has left in the tank , in all seriousness he could put the whole Beyer and Mundine episodes behind him with a few tidy wins v some decent Cruisers and be remembered as a solid champion, he had the chance to do this @ L/heavy when he won a legit title but his refusal to defend said title indicates to me his boxing ambitions are limited at this late stage in his career imo .
Big, loud, clear message for Bob - It's Time! You were great for the local game....put your feet up big fella.
True.. As a H/W, Mirovic has served more than the usual term as Champion and verteran. No one can slag him off with the efforts put in over the many years at the top of the most difficult proffession. A career well served. HoF'r garanteed.
good win alex, alex had this to say on the press conference Press Conference - Respect seemed the order of the day for the conference, put on by promoter Jamie Myer, with heavyweights Bob Mirovic and Alex Leapai showing an equal amount of admiration for their heavy-handed opponent. “I want to fight Leapai because I believe he is the best in Australia, and if I can’t beat him, then there is no point in carrying on,” former Australian heavyweight champion Mirovic said. “I respect everything Bob has done for boxing and particularly the Australian heavyweight scene, but if what he’s saying is true, then this will be his last fight,” Leapai responded.
