I just want to point out that a huge proportion of the people who use the word "intangibles" on this forum seem to have no idea what it means. Having a BJJ blackbelt is not an "intangible" quality. Having courage, bravery, a strong will, a strong focus etc. are intangible qualities. If you can easily measure it (ie: blue or black belt, champion something or not a champion something, physical strength) than it is not an intangible quality.
How can one have signs of steroid use? gaining muscle? There really is no difference in steroid muscle and naturally built muscle except the time in the gain.
:thumbsup Boom. Plus he's an arrogant SOB. He has this stupid confident swagger like the UFC belt has his name written on it. The guy simply thinks waaaay too much of himself. Nothing beats a good Mir beatdown though. Which these days is often.
sure he lost he explained why lmfao he admitted he overtrained way too much in one area lmfao u say he started celebrating earlier but you say his personality had nothing to do with it because your a tool i hope you were drunk and looking at your mir magz feeling sorry for yourself when u came up with that shyte
I want to ask you a question mate , do you do Jui Jitsu ???? , if you do , by even bringing this up your making a mockery of yourself , if you dont then start grappling big man , because unless you dont you wont know what it takes to acquire a Brazilian Jui Jitsu black belt !!!!!!!! , and like ive said thats just even before going into Mir's apparent lack of INTAGIBLE'S !!!!! What an absolute dumb ass post ..............................
Ok winfella... I never said Frank Mir did or did not possess those qualities, in fact I made no judgement on Frank Mir at all in this thread, so I really really have no idea what you are talking about. You really need to upgrade your reading comprehension skills. Might I suggest The Rosetta Stone for American English? www.rosettastone.com/learn-english My entire post was on exactly what makes a quality intangible and how people use the word incorrectly on this forum.
So celebrating early means he loves himself? I'm sorry, I thought by him stating he celebrated early meant he got to excited or to happy. I think YOU'RE so drunk you either misunderstood or simply did not comprehend. Moron.
I agree with your statement on intangibles. Mir is my favorite fighter, but as far as fighter's instincts, he does lack in certain area's that you mentioned. Paticularly strong will & focus, when put in danger in a fight. His ability to wether a storm in a fight is not the best.
Bearing in mind i was the only one who highlighted the fact that Frank Mir supposidly has no intagible's , and refererred to that as BS because he own's a BJJ black belt , id suggest the top quote from you !!!! is referring to this very argument NO :huh
Having a BJJ blackbelt is not an intangible quality period. That is an absolute fact. Who has the better belt in BJJ, Chuck Lidell or Frank Mir? Who has more courage, Chuck Lidell or Frank Mir? Can you not see the difference? Sure, having a BJJ black belt might highly suggest that you have great intangible qualities, but it itself is not an intangible quality. Who is the higher belt level in BJJ Nick Diaz or Frank Mir? Who has a stronger fighting spirit Nick Diaz or Frank Mir? You REALLY need better reading comprehension skills. Just accept that my point is valid and that I wasn't trying to slight Frank Mir (a fighter that I happen to like) and quietly drop this ******ed, should be non-existant, argument. For the 1st graders out there, saying that having a black belt in BJJ is not an intangible quality is NOT the same as saying that BJJ black belts (a particular one or in general) do not posess intangible qualities.
