They went with a Texas management team that had no Boxing experience, they hired Mark Tessman as a trainer who's claim to fame was getting stopped by Bob Foster. I seen Dewitt in the amatuers and seem him devastate Tillman, then all the Money talk and Dewitt loses focus and loses to Tillman in the finals. Then they turn pro with this team and give him a bit of a buildup but Willie was learning nothing and then they throw him in there with Burt Cooper, Willie stood strait up, no head movement and was stopped, he had the potential to be a good fighter with the right style adjustment and training but all they did was give him a big signing bonus. He made something of his life after but his career as a fighter was a clusterfck

    Agreed.

The biggest issue is during 1990-1995

    Holyfield
    Tyson
    Bowe
    Morrison
    Mercer
    Foreman
    Moorer
    Ruddock
    Lewis

I can't see Stewart beating any of these guys.....I really cant.

He could of beaten a later 90's Ruddock.

Morrison's chin... Don't see him being smart against Stewart like he was, amazingly, against Foreman.

I feel Marvis Frazier was rushed in a little too quickly. I doubt he would have been champ, but I think he could at least been a decent challenge for a bit had he not been rushed in against top opposition with only a small bit of experience. His father changed his style a bit too. Marvis was more comfortable boxing instead of coming in swinging like his father put him up to doing.

    Audley Harrison's self-management deserves a mention.

He made a lot of money on the back of his Olympic gold medal, but he'll be remembered as an utter failure as a professional.

Great mention, tho his carefully managed career got him his $10 000 shot at Holmes with few risks it didn't set him up to be as competitive as it might have.

You could add John Tate to that list as well.

His level of opposition prior to his title bout was pretty stiff. Plus, you had a guy with very few fights then fighting twice--against their best-- in south africa where nobody was on his side. It's hard being a road warrior & I thought at the time it was poor manaagement to have him go on the road again to take on a guy like Berbick like 3 months > getting brutally ko'd by Weaver.
