I was talking about Liston, not Tyson.

Mismatch? Sounds like a fight I'd love to see. Tyson for me though, with confidence

Prime Liston, whenever that was, wins but it's not a mismatch. Prime Tyson was harder to hit than Floyd, was heavier, had a better chin, was just as fast and hit harder.

Liston not near fast twitch enough. Tyson forces a shootout and Sonny just doesn't bring the quicks.

If he run against Liston he'd have a chance. Any solid blow would likely be the beginning of the end tho. He would have to be too cautious to win.

Tyson...the "Dancing Master". (Bald Joe Frazier tried that approach in Foreman v Frazier 2, and then post-fight the NBA asked Frazier to join their sport...as the "basketball").

I'm thinking along those lines as well. Tyson too fast and dynamic and accurate.

Mike can't come at Charles Sonny Liston and survive. Once his forward progress is halted by Sonny's jab he's all target . Sonny by knockout in 5

Yet you think the MUCH slower Foreman beats Tyson? Interesting.

Liston was not harder to hit than Floyd (or even Frazier) and was not as fast.

    Maybe that version of Tyson.
