I always wanted to see Spadafora v Mayweather for a pure defensive/chess match. Maybe it wouldn't have been incredibly exciting, but most definitely brilliant tactically and technically speaking.
I have to say I miss putting the latest Floyd fight on 10x speed and playing this music over the top: [yt]MK6TXMsvgQg[/yt] Personally that for me was the real joy of Floyd fights.
floyd had ran in a few of his more recent fights in rd 12 just toying and laughing at his opponent because he had clearly won (not a fan of this, atleast close it out in dominant fashion). other then that he primarily stays in the pocket, if he gets pushed to the ropes he avoids some punches and slips out without being touched SOMETIMES (other times he just invites them to the ropes and counters from the inside). i dont see how you can be labelled a runner for this? clinching people def have a more legitimate claim for but again i personally dont think his fights are CLINCH FESTS (numbers have been crunched against those who are known for it like klitschko an ruiz etc). you see relentless guys like jesus chavez not clinching on the inside opting to fight it out like you should do to a master boxer, pressure beats timing and thats what the gutsy chavez did, stuck on floyd burried his head into floyds chest and threw the kitchen sink to much success alot of guys just get tired of hitting nothing and clinch there way out after throwing a combination, if you have boxed before you would know this
It hasn't even been that long Miss WMM... he had much longer inactivity streaks in his career. And by the way, you probably see his lifesize poster every night when you go to sleep.
