I read up on it, I am impressed with Dirrell considering that I thought He would lose this one... I heard that he Knocked down AA? How clean was the shot? did it seem like he hurt AA?
Arthur was off balance and almost tripping backwards as Dirrell landed a shot. A KD, but Arthur clearly not hurt.
Counter shot catches over-excited and off-balance AA good and he goes down. There was another KD, scored by AA, but that idiotic ref didn't count.
AA was backpedaling and AD hit him with a clean shot sending him sliding to the mat on the seat of his pants
Here is all you need to know: Dirrell was kicking Abraham's ass and was cruising to wide UD. Abraham got fustrated and when Dirrell slipped he loaded up on a powershot and hit Dirrell while Dirrell was down. Abraham got exposed as a conqueror of shot fighters and someone who probably should be kicked out of the Super Six.
There were 3 knock downs(2 by Dirrell, 1 by AA) in the fight. All involved the guy being off balance and all 3 could have gone either way. The only one that was actually ruled a KD was the 1st one by Dirrell. In a nutshell, Dirrell looked good, strong early. Landing a lot of good hooks to the body. AA's shell was up and Dirrell was punching into it and thru it. Lows blows, AA complained. Ref actually said at one point, (I paraphrase) 'you pushed it down' or something to that effect. Meaning AA was forcing Dirrell's shots to go south, and it actually looked like it, thought some could/should have been called low blows. AA actually stopped to complain several times. Ihad it a Dirrell shut out until the 8th. AA started to get desperate and he turned it up a notch, but it was late to do so. I don't know why he didnt do it sooner. He hurt Dirrell in the 10th. But nothing he wasn't in severe danger. But AA was definitely coming on and Dirrell had a real fight on his hands until the end. The 11th was more aggression from AA, but not landing much until....... well, I'm sure you know/ saw the ending. No?
