Laurence Cole has got to be the worst referee I have ever seen..................he's should have been suspended for life years ago. He's an idiot..............Lomachenko did the opposite of what I thought might happen, he did well late, esp. the 12th round, had Salido hurt, but if Cole had done his job, all those low blows would have been stopped.

The ref in the Chavez/Vera fight was very biased. I still had Chavez winning the fight in the rematch, but Vera won the first. Ref should have been fair, but he was not.

Simply put, it took a little too long for Lomachenko to adjust and open up.

I thought Lomachenko won, but I have no problem with the decision. He outlanded Salido by a wide margin on headshots, but the judges valued the bodywork more tonight. Lomachenko got better as the fight developed, but waited too long to let his hands go. I think he respected Salido a little too much TBH. The accuracy was overshadowed by superior workrate by Orlando.

Salido was a crafty *******, and I mean that in a good way. He used every trick in the book, and used them well. Everything an amateur fighter isn't likely to get exposed to, Salido gave him in spades. By the time Vasyl had an answer, time had run out on him.

Cole was Cole- a terrible ref. Should've warned Lomachenko on holding by the mid rounds, should've taken a point for the low blows from Salido, and should've at least warned Salido for holding in the 11th and 12th.

Overall, it was a promising performance for Vasyl after a slow start in a tough environment. The fight wasn't particularly fan-pleasing, but it's not a loss that really hurts Lomachenko's career. Salido's set himself nicely for at least one more good payday.

It still wouldn't surprise me to see Vasyl get another title shot sooner rather than later, particularly if it's a match for the now-vacant belt against Gary Russell.

Yup. And Loma had nothing to keep Salido off of him. He tried to adjust, and did adjust for parts of the fight. But for a lot of the fight Loma was just running. Loma absorbed a huge amount of body shots. But Loma's stamina was very good, and if the fight had gone 15 Loma might have stopped Salido, who knows. Salido deserved the unanimous decision.
