I don't get why people match Floyd with ATG Welterweights, Lightweights would ve fairer

Andries would have brought nothing to the dance that would have helped him vs Foster...his being no defensive genius would have hurt him the most I fear,...a courageous stand he would make, a lot **** Chris Finnegan did, but I don't think he would have lasted as long a Chris. A ko for Foster by round 8 seems more of a likelihood to me.

    Lennox Lewis vs Johnny Paychek

Lewis cannot evade Paychek's jab and brutal combination punching and it ends up looking like a 5 year old fighting his dad.

Prime Mike Tyson vs Prime Abe Simon
This is a mismatch because Tyson would have no answer for Simon's superior size, strength and fire power. Not to mention his concrete chin. Simon would batter a helpless Mike Tyson until the referee took pity on him and stopped the fight with Tyson collapsing to the fetal position and being carried out by a traumatized Kevin Rooney and a terrified Bill Cayton.

I agree but many seem to think he'd dominate at welter against the all time best .. I don't.

I think Floyd was at his best at WW. His style as a defencive wizard suited him more and he looked more comfortable at WW to me.

There's no way Floyd was at his best at welter.

He truthfully peaked at 140 imo.

I think 4 of his top 5 performances came at WW or SWW

    Marquez, Hatton, Mosely and Canelo

Then Gatti is 5 and Corrales is 6.

Corrales will always be Floyd's best performance.

Because he was lineal champ at 147 and essentially unified the division while staying undefeated and before anyone gets triggered I believe Floyd would be an underdog against most of the ATG welters (SRR, Hearns, SRL etc.) but to dismiss his chances is silly.

    Wilder vs Valuev

A puncher like Wilder vs a good chinned giant who can't move around coz he's too slow will be an execution. Wilder would tag Valuev with every right hand he threw and would deal serious damage

    Max Baer vs Ernie Terrel

Overhand right lands every time and Terrel just gets pasted. Max also could take anything Ernie could throw. His jab could cause an issue but it would also open him up for an overhand and Max would catch him repeatedly. Think the Carnera fight.

At welterweight Hearns would demolish Mayweather, but pound for pound I actually favour Mayweather slightly.

I think Tyson would be all wrong for Foreman and would be knocked out in a similar fashion to Frazier. You literally cannot beat foreman by trying to get close to him.
