Two tall-order heavyweights, both had a brief flirtation with the world rankings, both had a longer stay on the board of the "Who needs Him.." club. being small reward - big risk of making you look bad merchants.. Both lost six times, Both lost when they tried to step up, Mitch against Berbick and Roy against Shavers, both were only beaten inside the distance once..Mitch in a strange non-effort against a nondescript opponent, and Roy against Shavers being stopped in a heart-stopping last round, after having Earnie literally out on his feet and standing 8 counted in the same round and being literally the breeze of a good punch away from victory...he gets nailed...and after the Ref's standing 8 count ..falls down..an amazing round both sets of supporters must of had palputations...(its on Utube) ....Both Roy and Mitch also gave a good nights full route education to future greats in Holmes and Tyson respectively (Liquer store lessons aside ! ) Whilst Mitch lost focus and drifted away after Tyson both finished with wins under their belts, with Mitch winning a couple of non demanding efforts and Roy winning his last half a dozen, so both not unalike in many instances, they say Tigers can smell Blood...but would Roy be biting off more than he could chew in Mitch...? Mitch "Blood" Green or Roy "Tiger" Williams..?
Could go either way, neither probably intimidating the other, but I think Mitch's speed and jab would help him win a close 10 round decision over Roy.
Titan1 - Many thanks indeed for your response i do not think that there is much to seperate them on paper, perhaps Roy the more consistant performer but i think it could be a coin-toss. Thanks Area
