Mitch Green vs. Lennox Lewis

Lewis was 18 and Biggs was a well-groomed, peaking 24. Not exactly a fair match-up.

The whole scenario is preposterous. Lewis KO's Green or Green goes into retreat and clutch for the whole fight. Very Lopsided decision or towel being thrown in to save Green's life.

 

If Mitch Green did anything spectacular during the 80's, I must have missed it. I remember his fight with a 19 year old Tyson, and frankly I wasn't very impressed by him. He was slow, not very busy, and didn't posses that much power for a man his size. I combed boxrec to try and find one decent name that he had claim to, and found none. Outside of going the distance in losing efforts with a very green Tyson and aging Berbick, I really can't see why anyone would give him a chance against a peak Lennox Lewis.

 

this is a bit of a mis-match in my opinion. lewis is at least top 15 HW ever and mitch green is ..er....famous for fighting tyson out of the ring.

horse**** that ruddock was finished when lewis fought him. he could have been at his very best that night, infact probably was. problem was lewis was devastating , watch the fight.

Tucker which Lewis fared better

Lewis beats Green mercilessly for 12 rounds unless his corner are merciful and pull him out :yep

That's not what you said. You implied that Lewis needed schooling on what a jab actually was. In all reality, the man had a hell of a good jab. Couple your statement with Mercer being the best man he ever fought, and I wonder if you even know who in the hell you're talking about.

That was a better win then mercer for a start so was the 2 round starching of ruddock, how about his 12 round schooling of david tua ?

He fought the big american hope Grant and exposed him in 2 rounds and underfeated mavoric got soundly beaten. Not forgetting golota coming off his beating up of bowe and was supposed to kill Lewis getting beat in 79 secounds.


You can twist up any fighters resume to suit it to make them look bad, to suit your own purposes. If lewis chin is as bad as people make out surely tua would of ko'd him, he took flush shots off briggs and laughed.

If Mitch had developed, I could see him beating Lennox.But drugs, and being with Don King, ruined his speed and career.Lennox wins on a lopsided decision, since I don't see him even hurting Mitch.
