These two actually ended up fighting for the USBA Heavyweight Title, who actually won this fight because I don't think it was televised.
Green as we both know was an ATG. His wins over stellar guys like Sammy Scaff and percel David push him to the front of the crowd.
It was on YouTube a couple years ago before it was taken down. Berbick won the fight not anything special.
You know what? Green was all set to be an ATG, it was that damn Tyson, smacking him in the eye at Dapper Dams that screwed it all up!!!
I remember Berbick being quoted as saying Green fought him like an animal and was very tough at the time ..
Easy dec. for perennial contender Berbick who had been considered washed up two years earlier after sleepwalking through a loss to Cruiserweight champ. ST. Gordon. Before this fight Green was still considered a prospect but his unimpressive performance led most to conclude he would be an underachiever which is pretty much how it played out. Other than lasting ten with a rising Tyson he essentially disappeared into a full time life on the streets of NY City where news of his highly erratic behavior would surface from time to time - most notably, of course, his street fight with Undisputed champ.
