i'm a big fan of mitch and a friend of his, and i have spoken to one of his former managers several times, and he told me mitch is the most gifted fighter he has ever come across, he is truly a specimen, he has never been stopped amateur or pro, and he also told me the only rivals he has in the best chin department are mccall and tua, he has told me countless times he's never seen him hurt and mitch has sparred or fought with just about all the big names and has never once been in trouble, he is just like mccall and tua, impossible to knock out, mitch's career stalled due to his promoters' inability to land him fights because of his recognized talent, but also to his self-destructive behavior, the loss to berbick was a bag job, he wasn't ready for a guy like berbick at that stage in his career and given to mitch by don king to put him in his place cuz he could not control mitch, green had not fought for over a year and took everything berbick threw and never once being hurt or in trouble, just having rust from inactivity, if he reached his potential he would have been an absolute monster, like riddick bowe but with faster hands and a better chin

funny thing is - when tyson landed that punch that did what you saw to mitch green's face - mitch green was still on his feet cursing at tyson! tyson probably didn't punch as hard as he could since he didn't have gloves (or if he did -his hand broke) but man - what a chin!

you don't take a shot from a prime tyson on the street or in the ring and just shrug it off unhurt or no concussion unless you have an atg chin, like mitch, if anyone doens't respect the man's abilities they are just being narrow-minded and listening to only the people with an agenda against him, part of his career he was seriously screwed over and taken advantage of but part of it was on his end too, personally and emotionally, i don't think he had the rite people around him in the business to back him up and set him on the rite path, and then he didn't trust the right people and placed his trust in all of the wrong people (king and son carl) and it hurt his career, but he has all the tools to beat any heavyweight champion to this day, even at 51! he's just that good and that freakin talented, i like marvis as well, and he great in his own rite, but i think smokin' joe's enthusiasm for his son and his chances incoherently derailed his career, he made him into a straight brawler just like himself while marvis was more tailor made to be a slick boxer

He lost a decision to Frazier in the Trials, and to Alfonzo Ratliff, of all people, in the intercity matches of 80.

Did Green ever take any shots worth mentioning outside of Tyson blasting him?
