So Kevin Mitchell has issued a challenge for Michael Katsidis following the win over Prescott. I am sure I have seen Mitchell fight but can't remember anything about him... How do you think this fight will go down? Potential for Khan to face the winner too - if it's Katsidis I bet you Warren won't let it happen. What do you all think?
i thought you meant Sharmba Mitchell and i was getting excited about seeing that **** get ko'd again :rofl Kevin Mitchell looked great against Prescott... even when you consider that Prescott is fairly limited and was quite lucky against Khan One thing about Mitchell is his ability to work the ring whilst counter punching... he counters beautifully off the back foot. However his defence looks a bit leaky and he is more inclined to try and duck and move rather than use a peek a boo or standard glove defense it seems. His whiskers seem very very very solid to, he took some of Prescotts best punches and didnt seem phased at all. Watch his fight against Walter estrada, he is slick and has quite good power as well. Seems like a great overall package but i see flaws... and who knows just how good Prescott was anyway? He was coming off a loss and word was that his motivation and ability to make 135 had both been in question Ultimately i see it being one of the best fights at lightweight. Rocky's style will be difficult to contend with for Mitchell because he doesnt seem to be the kind of guy that would handle a pressure fighter too well. But on the other hand his counter punching and footwork might see him cherry pick rocky all over the ring for 12. If i had to take an educated guess i would say Rocky by late tko after some very competitive rounds. Mitchell wont be able to keep him off forever and his chin hasnt been tested against this type of power. Rocky has the advantage in opposition faced as well... his experience will prove pretty valuable against this young guy

I think kats is waiting on marquez. When he decides what he is doing, kats will know who to go after next.
Look at his fight against Johanneson for his leaky defence, was out on his feet at one point. Was a great fight as well (another reason to watch it!). Still, based on his performance against Prescott he is working on his defence (changed trainers for the fight) and considering that he was coming back from a serious injury (he fought two tune-ups before the Prescott fight) he may now get the chance to get a run of fights which will also help in improving his overall game. Would be a great fight if made, I would pick Katsidis to win by UD - close, but clear.
