a bit harsh. His defence is poor at that level. He just takes too many heavy punches. I think Mitchell deserves respect unlike glass-chinned, red-carpet boy Khan. Now THAT is a guy with no chin.
It's average, certainly not great. That said, I don't see how you've decided this from the Burns fight...it was a great shot that he didn't see and was moving into. Watch it again, he rolled under and dropped his right as he came in t othrow a hook. It would have put anyone on their pants. Think he did well to get up.
Nah, he wasn't pissed that Burns won. It was the manner Burns won which meant there was no prospect of a rematch. VVarren doesn't want to unify or match Burns against the divisions big guns. He wanted Burns by close decision, then a rematch, & then Harrison after.
I dont think there is anything wrong with his chin.He got up from the knock downs but just could not get his head clear. Good win for Burns, slating Mitchell just takes away credit from Burns.
Burns is not known as a heavy hitter but he put it all together last night and battered Mitchell. Brilliant performance and if he can force his game on better fighters he might well be able to force more stoppages at that level as well. This is not about Mitchell's chin or Burns' apparent lack of power. This is to do with how Burns dug in deep and put in a performance that showed he was a level above Mitchell. Moderate hitters of the highest ability can stop tough fighters at a lower level. Murray isn't a puncher by any means but he landed a lot of leather on Kev' and didn't really phase him. Johannson is a lower league banger, rocked Mitchell, couldn't floor him. Katsidis stopped him but didn't floor him, sat Marquez on his arse in his next outing. Burns dropped him, hard, and overwhelmed him for the finish. Prescott is not particularly good but he's a good gauge for World level. Mitchell arguably had an easier night with him than Vasquez or Alvarado, and certainly better than McCloskey (or Amir ) Mitchell was a decent fighter. Burns is World class. That's why Mitchell got dominated and blown away, not because he has no ability to take a shot.
