Mitchell/Katsidis and Khan/Malignaggi RbR Thread!!!

You know a fighter has generated interest when he ****s the forum up after the fight with the traffic.

 

Its a title fight mate, not a tickling contest. Im always in agreement when the stoppage save the fighter from a KO but Paulie wasnt stunned. He was getting beat big time the 2nd half of that fight and was out sped but against Amir with his iffy chin it only takes one shot to turn it around (although Paulie doesnt have any power)

Paulie deserved to at least see it out even if he was being outboxed and Khan doesnt have great power at that level either imo.

Great performance from Khan though and I truly hope this time he means it whan he calls out Maidana etc

 

Good performance. Early nerves settled, and Khan fought better after that, excellent jab, not enough body shots I feel. Hope what he/Freddie said at the end materialises.

 

khan aint ready for maidana, even pauiles feather fists made khan take notice, imagine what maidana's shots would do

it's repeated punches to the head that hurt fighters over the long run though. Surely you must be aware of that.

 

I dunno, I just seen the Itv interview and freddie was struggling to stand still. Anyone else think he looked pretty bad in the interviews? I know he has parkinsons but I have not seen him struggling like that on tv before.

 

Looked fine to me. He wasn't nervous. His speech is sometimes slightly slurred due to his parkinson

 

Especially when its going on for 5am in his own country after the fight has finsihed.

 

Yeah. There's been a noticeable decline over the last year or so. He's hanging on in there though. Top man.

 

I know Khan has a tickly chin but Paulie is not going to KO him (4 or 5 knockouts I think) Paulie was not offering anything in the last few rounds just taking hits.
He was a mile behind on the cards and Khans jab was rocking his head back time after time.
A fair enough stoppage I thought.
The doctors looking at him and just letting him go out also meant the referee was stopping it at the first sign of a few decent shots imo.

 

freddie looks worse yes....i really hope its not starting to beat him..

I was smack in the middle of trying to do a RBR for an obscure South American vacant title bout during that nonsense! :twisted:

 

HBO had this a complete shut out, not one round to pauli. Kellerman calling khan the most talented in the division etc, the whole crew were really impressed by the performance tbh. Alot of american fans on other forums have been really impressed with khan. Overall, good performance, more development to come.
