I went to Mitchell's last fight at the Night of Champions and it wasn't packed to even half capacity, or so it looked.
How's he expecting to get 20,000 supporters into Upton Park?

Are there even 20,000 Mitchell fans?

I am a fan myself, just don't think he can do it.

I was wondering the same thing myself. Warren had better be working his arse off promoting this fight!

They'll sell it out, or get very close. They'll be banking on thousands and thousands of West Ham United fans to go and support their local fighter at the stadium they go to every other week. Mitchell has been in the media quite a bit recently and most of it has been based around the fact he's a big West Ham fan and is a local lad etc etc.

If you look on the West Ham United website, your'll see that the majority of tickets are already gone. Watching sky sports news lately he seems to be on there every day. And like robpalmer135 said, theres still a month to go. I cant wait for it, its gonna b a war

Not yet. But he's easily going to be the next Ricky Hatton after beating Katsidis, mark my words. Granted the majority of his supporters will be football fans who won't know much about boxing, but he's going to be as popular as Ricky

I reckon he should sell it out . As other posters have said he's been in the media a lot promoting himself and the fact that he's a west ham fan , west ham themselves will be encouraging their fans to buy tickets plus and most importantly its a live top level (or near enough ) fight between two exiciting evenly matched fighters. I'd imagine aussie expats will buy a few tickets too
