To be fair it was kevins first coule of spars and he looked fine,so 5-6 weeks down the line he should be buzzing.Boxing ability i think kevin has the edge but Murray is on tough cookie,i wouldnt like to have a beat one way or the other although i favour Kevin Mitchell to outpoint John
I'm really concerned about him now. I'm a massive Mitchell fan, but his head was ****ed in the run up to Kats, he's been out for a year, been drinking heavily, and now there's rumours he can't make the weight. I always said he will outbox Murray, but now I'm not so sure. I'll support him to the end, but that could be just round the corner. I hope to god I'm wrong.
''I help kids loose weight'' *sniff*... I hope he can get over these problems. He seems depressed to me and it's understandable.
At least got to respect Mitchell for getting straight back into a dangerous fight straight after all the issues he has had. He isn't one of these who goes on for years about how they're going to do this, that and the other but never really get round to it. I am a fan, although at this point I think that Murray is a big ask, but I really respect Mitchell for putting himself out there - we will find out a lot about him next week. So while three world titles on the timescale he mentioned might be ambitious from where he is right now, I am glad that he still has his ambition and is taking a fight that fits with that. He seems really to believe what he is saying, so am looking forward to the fight.
Mitchell might end up behind the door before too long & if so, the only thing he'll be making is Porrige!
