It's all about levels.

It's a shame that Allegedly won't try and turn Burns into a Froch-lite kinda guy.... just fighting whoever wherever.

 

I can't see the stoppage myself, I think Ricky win's quite comfortably on point's but not the stoppage unless it's a typical early uncalled for British one.

 

if mitchell is right, which i think he will be, he'll stop burns late. burns is the better technical boxer whereas mitchell has the speed and the power. burns hasn't got enough in his punches to keep mitchell honest. this will be his undoing as the fight goes on.

they'll have the right game plan going in for this one. mitchell the new champ.

 

That is possible, Mitchell is a good fighter and has the edge in power and explosiveness but Ricky is the more solid all round better boxer and has a good defence, I'd love for Mitchell to win but I think Ricky takes it on points.

 

I was thinking about this one yesterday and for the first time I was able to see who I think takes it.

Mitchell is a boxer-puncher, he works best when people walk onto him. Burns is not going to do that, or at least if he does at any point it will be educated pressure. He's bigger, rangier and I'd even say stronger. Burns on points for me.

 

Intrigued by what Mitchell will do in this one, because since moving to LW he's been the hunted. He's boxed mostly off the back foot as a aggressive counter puncher but with this fight he may opt to press the fight more.

Burns will continue to box his characther, Boxing long with lots of lateral movement and becoming aggressive when he senses Mitchell's open. I expect Ricky to work the body as well, Mitchell to match him when Ricky pulls full guard espicially when near ropes where Ricky tends to fight very tall. Both know this is going to go into the later stages so it makes sense for them to put the money in and reap the rewards later.

It's going to be a good fight either way IMO. Great night for Scottish Boxing espicially if Burns wins.

I got Burns decision .Styles make fights Mitchell looks tricky though and can punch a bit .Burns defence against Kats though if his defence is that good he shouldn't have much problem .Burns ud .
