nothing against Mitchell but I never saw why people were talking him up...and have still seen nothing to suggest he can ge beyond euro level. I'd pick Arthur over him.
If (and it is still a big if) Arthur can comfortably make SF I honestly think he knocks 7 shades of poo out of Mitchell. He'd be too big, strong and accurate. Mitchell is full of heart, and pretty decent on the front foot himself, but his first line of defence is his face. He'll not get to 25 if he continues like that. Would be an interesting fight, and certainly one Warren seems intent on making. But at his SF best I think Arthur would comfortably stop Mitchell in 6 rounds at the moment. Johanneson had him in a lot of bother, and would of stopped him had he had the power. Arthur does, so would IMO. But AAA can't be repeating his Foster Jnr performances.
I don't know how relevant is is but Mitchell beat Johansson who beat Gomez who beat Arthur. I know you can't read too much into tha but it suggests there isn't a massive gulf between them all.
yes I certainly considered that but I don't think any of them were sufficiently shot or green in any of those fights to to make the point/link redundant. Or do you reckon Gomez was shot against Johansson? It's not like you can claim one of them is world class and another is just domestic class. I don't think there's that much between them all.
Agreed, Mitchell makes the weight easy but AAA really struggles and his last performance reflected that. He should have stepped up but wanted to be the paper world champion at the weight. Dont even try and say he would have beaten guzman. Just for the record i think AAA is a good boxer and the mitchell fight will be a good match up the could go either way but swaying towards mitchell.
My thoughts exactly.I dont think either are world class, but i think Mitchell can improve lots.I see it as a top domestic scrap which Mitchell can win!
and Tyson was shot by then, and ****ed his knee early in the fight too. So your attempt at being a smartarse fails :good
how do you guys think kevin would do against so one as elusive as Limmond?could kev KO limmond? it would be an interesting fight to see what his boxing skills are really like
As Joe said and as I'm sure you realise, the timing is key to this string of results HOWEVER... I agree with you that it indicates there is not much between all these guys Each different fighters with different strengths but similar level fighters, IMO. At their best: Gomez > Arthur > Mitchell > Johanneson I think Mitchell - Arthur is a close and good fight. Mitchell perhaps is a tad green yet. I'd favour Arthur though at any time. Johanneson just wouldn't have hung with a younger Gomez so that is the real blip in the form line. None of them are world class or ever likely to be.
can't argue with any of that. Gomez very possibly being shot against Johansson is the argument against the form line I agree, lets see how he looks against Khan. You never know with that guy.
