I know Mitchell has a big fan base, but isn't Upton Park a tad hopeful to get that many fans? 25,000 is a heck of a lot for somebody not named Hatton, haye or Khan.

Plus you get the feeling there will be shitloads of trouble at Upton Park, as the place would be full of 'football fans' that might not neccesarily attend if it was at the Excel. Maybe those are where the extra attendance comes from compared to the Excel.

But the Excel is ****, I'd rather it be at the O2.

It's not even an arena really it's an exhibition centre, the London triathlon is staged there and they do scuba diving shows which are brilliant, never been there for boxing but I imagine it's poor.

Besides infrastructure I don't know what makes this more attractive as a boxing venue than an empty warehouse.

Mitchell will EASILY sell 20-25,000 tickets at Upton Park...

He will play the "West Ham fan" card to the max and the amount of Aussies in London will mean there will be plenty supporting Katsidis.

I'd love to see Jeffries get towards a world title just to see him fight at the Stadium of Light.

The only way that Jeffries gets anywhere near the SofL is if he buys a ticket, or has "security" on his back. :deal:D

I can't imagine Mitchell selling anywhere near enough tickets to fill Upton Park...could actually be quite embarrassing.
