Prescott would most probably beat Mitchell, Hes a very limited fighter Prescott but Mitchell is easy to hit and prescott has the power to stop anybody around super featherweight to lightweight, very daft matchup if its made.. Hope this is just a rumour because it should be Burns vs Mitchell... I think Mitchell would beat Burns though.

It's hardly as terrible of a matchup as people say. Sure, its a risk but are we the fans supposed to be criticizing risk taking? We are usually complaining about padded records...

Prescott still has a pretty big name despite his recent loss. Beating him would do a lot more for Mitchell's credibility on the world scene compared to Burns. We all know he probably has a WBO title shot in his pocket regardless of who he faces.

As for the fight, if Mitchell boxed sensibly he could win as Prescott is awfully crude. He'd need to box the fight of his life and tighten up his defence.

From a british boxing fans point of view i want to see him fight Ricky Burns, Think most people are wanting to see that fight than a fight with Prescott.

I really want to see this fight. Mitchell is lucky to be in any world ratings and Burns is lucky to be fighting Mitchell.

I just really do not rate Burns. I would hope he wins against Mitchell but I really can not see him having sucess.

    This is odd.

Where is Billy Nelson? Has the Burns fight fallen through?

Let's just hope that Frank gets Burns the shot at Martinez now. More average fighters have got a shot at the WBO and if Mitchell isn't fighting him (and supposedly moving up) then Warren should get Burns the shot.

Martinez is average anyway and if Soto is moving up the division is wide open.

A real shame though, Mitchell vs Burns is a necessary and mouth-watering domestic scrap:good
