At least we agree this time, Rios has questionable wins on his record and has a questionable chin too, American hype... why so many Brits get caught on its waves i just dont know. Mitchell has a really good chance.
Exactly, and for an accumulation-based pressure fighter, he looks to have a serious dig as well. I predicted Mitchell-Mirray pretty much spot on from the moment it was announced. Plodding, accumulation feather fist Vs more varied, sharper and accurate puncher is a no brainer. But Kev still did a lot of on the ropes absorbing that got him in trouble against Katsidis. Again, suicide against a beast like Rios. Just a horrible, horrible matchup for Kev. Basically, if a sharper, more accurate, more powerful, more mobile, better better better at ****ing everything Acosta couldn't get the job done, than Mitchell certainly isn't. Average Miguel Vasquez? Now that's a different kettle of fish (possibly)
First I've heard about it but it's on the main page. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=29006&more=1 Rios KO. Mitchell will succumb and be gobbled up by Brandon. Edit :FU Wallet/Stato!
hmmm...it would have to be mitchell's fight of his life, and in no way could he be able to get hit as much as he did against murray but if he can stay on his bike with the jab out for the first half and then pounce later it is possible. but rios does look like he hits hard so the smart money would be on rios but i'd be cheering for mitchell all the way!
I agree with your point about Mitchell staying on the ropes, he needs to pivot out of it before he gets push onto the ropes and when doing so throw a 3-5 punch combo and pull away. Mitchells mistake against Katsidis was that he didnt hold and save time and energy instead he stuck his chin and and tried to hit back while on the ropes.
Rios would be the favorite I agree on that, but Mitchell would have a chance. Rios isn't the beast some people assume him to be and Mitchell is a class act; but Mitchell does get hit a lot and we know Rios can bang.
