Here is the quote you are talking about

Bell is 18-1 a 2 time ABA winner and he has been a pro for 6 years yet he has only ever gone past eight on 2 occasions losing once and five of his last six fights have been six rounders. Is it just me or are there so many boxers like him in the UK, I know you can only take what is offered to them but why do so many boxers in this country struggle to organise fights for longer fights it would be a big help in their development if they didn't consistently take short fights.

Anyway from reading that I would guess it a possibility.

It's seriously not fair:conf. We're always left out in this neck of the woods and all because we have an inept council who decided to spend the money set aside for Bristol Arena on other things:|. I shall be travelling north if JMM-Hatton is made, though:yep. That would be worth splashing my savings on:deal.

Im picking Burns(as the whole of ESB gasps in surprise):D

However, Ricky Burns HAS to fight his best fight to win this. Both Mitchell & Burns blow hot & cold, & its whoever brings their A game on the night that wins. Its that tight.

If Burns fights like he did against O'Hara, hes in trouble. I mean hes fighting away from home, so its goung to be VERY hard to get a decision in Mitchell country, so he has to be on top form.

Which begs the question, is he really fighting in Mitchell country? Or will the northern english back the scotsman against the cocky Londoner?

The reason I ask is because when Audley was fighting in Newcastle some years back against a scotsman, the geordie fans cheered on the jock against the Londoner.
Its an interesting question, even if I do say so myself.

Only problem is, if its the Khan fanatics that snap up all the tickets, they just boo & jeer everyone apart from Khan. I should know, I had to suffer them in the Braehead a few years ago...

Mitchell win for me, not a big fan of KM's skillset really...not my type of fighter...he's crude, walks into punches, squares up, leads with hooks, just has a ugly fightgame (sorry kevo but i gotta call it how i see it)

Having said that styles make fights and this is a bad match-up for RB he's made to order for Mitchell, he doesn't have the pop to get mitchells attention and he himself circles into powershots and gets flustered, for Burns to win he's gonna have to fight smart, walk him into punches, establish the jab and spoil on the inside, circle away from power punches and bring the straight rights, hooks and uppercut into effect as Mitchell squares up and and comes in...then spin him.

Both have alotta flaws but Burns has more stacked against him here he needs to be almost flawless to get the W. I can see him starting well banking the early rounds looking like he's boxing his ears off then Mitchell gradually getting to him by the mid way point and sealing it from there. should be very interesting because its definitely not a lock pick as they have so many flaws between them.

Burns wins this- I'm a Mitchell fan, it's 50/50 but stylistically burns will be a nightmare for kevin, ricky needs to box and move. Mitchell won't be able to catch up with him if he does

I don't for sure but sky are advertising it as a double bill, each 12 rounder will take up at least a hour. We might not even see highlights of them.

  11. you should be preparing Burns for this fight
