Who gives a **** what the dictionary says a chav is??????????? He wears tracksuit bottoms with polo shirts, fishermans hats, goes to the pub all day long, plays darts, he gets pissed all the time, that makes him a chav. Hatton is a chav and he is probs proud of it! He has a colour tatoo for christ sake! The term chav while having some concise definitions as posted above has come to encompass a larger element of society in many peoples vocabulary. I think the term can be used appropriately for Hatton. No disrespect I like the man but he goes on lager lout holidays and staggers about with no shirt on and does exhibit many chavvy traits. Not everyone in Dagenham is a chav, about 97.7% of my fellow 'Nam dwellers are totally chavtastic but some of us have a modicum of taste and intelligence.
