Was thinking about this the other day. Would be Murray's relentnessness and pressure against Mitchell's quick and smart punching. I am a big Murray fan so would want him to win it but i think Mitchell's craftiness could earn him a points victory.
I think Mitchell can outbox Murray quite comfortably just depends what fight he wants to fight, if he wants a war Murray will be too strong imo.
The fact is John Murray has never been tested...ever. He was gifted a decision against some journeyman that sells ice cream and fought on one days notice. Mitchell has proved he can box, punch and fight, he has bags of heart and a chin too. If it came to a brawl Mitchell still beats him..easy.
If it was a brawl id have big money on Murray being to tough for him, Mitchell was out on his feet against Johanasen and Mitchells corner were about to throw the towel in. I think Kev should use the Mcalister blue print use his jab and not get involved to much becuase if he does imo he gets taken out late.
I'd confidently put a few quid on Mitchell. Granted he was nearly out against Johanneson, but he showed real heart to stay in there and finish the job off. Murray has potential, but hasn't faced anybody as good as Johanneson or Prescott - the biggest puncher he has faced is a shot Thaxton, who took a round off him before being harshly stopped. It's not a fight I see happening, Mitchell has really gotten his career back on track and is lined up to face Katsidis.... Murray has beaten plenty of guys that have been chewed up by Khan and Thaxton, such as Lawton for example, and still doesn't have anything lined up.
