This would be a great fight. Murray is really slacking with Hennesey.

Not long ago I would have bet big on Murray but with his weight and with him not fighting anymore I now have to go with the classy cocney who is in form. This could be an eliminator to see who gets to polish Khans turds.

I see Mitchell winning comfortably, it would be a great warm up fight before a crack at at Katsidis IMO

Funny how things change, before the Pescott fight most said Murray would smash Mitchell, now Mitchell beats the limited Prescott he beats Murray easily lol No chance.

Why is no one screaming for this fight to be made? It certainly should be. The two leading domestic names at Lightweight. Lets get it made. Wont happen though as we all know.

That's because hardly anyone had heard of Kevin Mitchell. He showed great skills in with Prescott. And have you seen the agressive side to Mitchell? He's a good fighter. And the last fight he had, he KO'd his last opponent in 2.

    He'd beat Murray.

No one had heard of Kevin Mitchell hahahaha, are you ****ing serious?? lol Mitchell as been hyped up since the day he turned pro. Mate give your head a wobble his last fight was a ****ing mis match if the highest order. The same guy he knocked out in 2 rounds was a tomato can who has been fighting 6 rounders, the guy Mendoza fought before Mitchell was 0-15-4 haha.

Still laughing at no one had heard of Mitchell before the Prescott fight :rofl:rofl

Good fight, i think Mitchell would get to him with better punching and wear him down in the mid stages.....

Competitive fight though until Murray is on his back !!!

Still a good fight but Mitchell has upped his game for the second fight in a row. It seems to be coming together for him now.

As much as i'd love to see this fight, it'd wouldn't make any sense to stage it now.
Murray is the mandatory for the EBU lightweight title.
Mitchell is the mandatory for the WBO lightweight title.
Why would either jeopardise/reject their shot at major titles?
Both of them would like the kind of fights that get them discussed outside of British circles; a domestic showdown wouldn't really help them on this front.

Despite the fact Murray hasn't been tested doesn't mean you should write him off. Although i would put money on Mitchell, Murray is a good boxer who has been screaming out for fights in the past-but the best hennessey could offer last time out was Thaxton.

I agree with this. I think Murray taking this fight would be a serious risk. Love going to see him fight, but i think Mitchell would be too big of a step up at this point when he could take the EBU off Mezaache instead and build himself up that way.(if someone ever sorts the bloody fight out).
