maybe so but at championship level anthony will be a SFW, mitchell would be far to strong for anthony at LW.Remember kevin was SFW champ with no real domestic opposition other than burns before he moved up and anthony still to become domestic champion,to bigger gap in levels at present imo.
As I say, didn't say it would be competitive; just as a gauge for Mitchell. I can't see Kev being any good at 135; he should go back to 130 and fight Burns IMO
Kev would outbox Murray, and if he did choose to stand and trade, murray punches nowhere near as hard as Katsidis. Don't think Mitchell would stop Murray but he would win and I'd put money on it.
I am a Murray fan so am biased... However, the problem for Mitchell is that we really have no idea of how he compares with other good quality domestic lightweights. In three fights at lightweight Mitchell beat Prescott (who it seems fair to say isn't what he looked like being against Khan), Mendoza (who Murray beat years ago as a rookie) and got destroyed by Katsidis. I appreciate a lot on here have no time for Murray but there is no denying that, Limond aside, he has fought all the top domsestic lightweights and beat them. If Mitchell had had a few fights at that level and looked good doing it before being rushed to Katsidis and being totally outclassed it would be a lot easier to see where he goes from here. I certainly can't see Murray being keen to be a comeback fight for Mitchell now he finally has the Euro belt. For what its worth I think Murray would wear him down and stop him late. Mitchell is in a tricky position as to where he goes next, but he has the right promoter for that I guess - depending on your point of view!
Yeah I'm pretty confident about his chin. I reckon you could hit him with mick's lunch box and he'd still stay up!!!:good
People keep saying that but the guy was really struggling to make 130 and hes talked about how much better hes felt since moving to 135. He just needs to train harder and fighting euro level murray is perfect path to comeback.
With his style, I hope he has a good chin and big heart. Those two qualities alone could see him get somewhere.
Here we go again. Sparring is Sparring a fight is a fight, when are people gona realise this. What real top pro gets buzzed in sparring with a head-guard and 16oz gloves. Lets see what would happen if he was in there with no head-guard and 8oz gloves.
