The UFC is an absolute **** stain on the sport of MMA. Getting cut for twitter comments, Cutting a top 5 ww, and now infringing on freedom of speech. This company is absolutely ridiculous.

Dana is trying to turn the UFC into a major sports circuit, similar to the NFL, MLB, PGA Tour, etc. and he doesn't need nor want his fighters spouting off about this whether he agrees with them or not. Mittrone should have known better than open his pie hole.

    Exactly. :good

Mitrione can have any opinion he likes.

But when he appears on TV as a representative of the UFC, he can't go on ugly, hate-filled rants about sensitive topics. The sport has only just gained mainstream legitimacy in the last couple of years. They don't want and can't have fighters talking like that and representing the sport and the company like that.

If it was Carl Froch who did this, then the story is "Boxer Carl Froch goes off on hate-filled rant."

But if it's Meathead, the story is "UFC fighter Matt Mitrione goes off on hate-filled rant." That's a key difference. Froch is only representing himself and his sport - Mitrione is representing himself, his sport and his employer. That's the difference.

And the people who say that Chael's verbal attacks are the same as Mitrione's rants - :patsch

Those who say that the UFC shouldn't have punished him, wake the **** up. Mitrione has no right to say whatever the wants to whoever he wants and still expect to keep his job.

    :hat

Mittrione called Fox a "sociopath" and a "disgusting freak." That sort of personal attack was unnecessary and could easily be seen as an attack against all transgender individuals.

 You're obviously a casual fan. The problem with this whole thing is that the UFC WOULDN'T punish certain other fighters for saying the same thing, if not worse.

And it's not like the UFC is choosing this as the starting point to suddenly change and be fair from here on out because Joe Rogan had just said the same **** on his radio show.

I think he clearly attacked him personally because he wants to beat up women with a man's body. That is pretty much against the moral codes of our society. So Matt is right.

I definitely agree with this. Dana has always shown favoritism towards certain fighters. Also to the person above who says he wants it to be like an NFL, MLB, ETC. Have you ever seen Dana White public speaking? He cusses every other breath to me that is not professionalism.

She already does it seems. Its sad to think that UFC has deteriorated this much. No one can convince me Rousey hasn't rode Dana many times to get Women here.
